The Jensen Arctic Museum is unique on the west coast of the lower 48. A small museum dedicated to the far north--its people, animals, and culture. A treasure of Western Oregon University. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Roben told us of her Nome heritage.

I went with students on a field trip. It is interesting but most of the kids were bored quickly. They have added more hands on exhibits over the years. Geared more towards the cultural diversity studies crowd at Western Oregon University where the museum is located.

I saw this museum on a field trip with my on. I rated it medium because it is small and appears to be on a limited budget, like most museums of its kind, but the people were very educational and it was well laid out.
