During a recent vacation to Las Vegas, We took the opportunity arrange a shooting experience at the Pro Gun Club. I first noticed the club during a visit to Vegas on a previous occasion. With this in mind I contacted the club via email to arrange a visit this year. This process was very easy and allowed us to select a range of firearms prior to our visit; I also paid a part payment up front to secure our date. Upon arrival in Vegas I contacted the club to arrange transport from our hotel to the club as it is located about 30 minutes’ drive away from the strip near to Boulder city. Upon the morning of our shoot they gave us a courtesy call prior to the pickup. We were transported to the club and were greeted by the director of sales and marketing, whom I had been communicating with prior to our visit. We had opted to shoot two pistols and two rifles the Colt 1911, Glock 19, Colt M4 and the Barrett M82A1. The range wardens who supervised our shoot were first class and very friendly. As most of my group had never fired a firearm, the professional tguidance of the range wardens was very much appreciated. There are several ranges available and thoses used are dependent upon what you opt to shoot. As it has out door ranges you can shoot up to a 1000 Yards to a target situated in the hills. If you want a great shooting experience in Vegas, the Pro Gun Club should be your first port of call. It is second to none. I will defiantly visit again if I’m in the area.

My right shoulder still hurts but the pain makes me smile when I think about the great experience at the ProGunclub. Forget the "machinegun shooting" at the strip where you have to be underground to shoot. ProGunclub offers a huge selection of weapons and you can be outside (in the desert). This was by far one of the absolute best moments when it comes to a paid experience. This is an experience for real men (and women:)Please note that you need to respect these weapons, I have personally many years of training and it is important to listen to the instructor to be 100% safe. They are now called Pro Gun ,I make it a point to stop here every time I am in Vegas, 4-5 times a year, I think its awesome to shoot a 50 cal. sniper rifle at a 1000 yrds. , where else could you do this? Recently tried out a 12 gauge full auto shotgun with an 8 round mag,, where else could you do this? Alright , I also shoot sporting clays here and home , but shooting clays in the desert is a whole different experience, great time , great people here, very accommodating, have never been disappointed.

This was recommended by the employee at VORE located just down the hill from the Pro Gun Club to continue the testosterone-filled morning! What a treat for my husband and daughter's boyfriend that was with us. My husband (former Marine, expert marksman) had a huge grin on his face when he got to shoot the 50 caliber sniper rifle at a 1000 yard target! The employees in the shop were very helpful in making recommendations based on what we wanted to spend as well as getting the most bang for the buck (pun intended!) The safety guy on the course covered everything they needed to know without being overbearing. Highly recommend combining with the VORE experience!

If you are looking for this place, search for Pro Gun Club. They no longer appear to go by Desert Hills Shooting Club. This is the highlight of my trip to Vegas, had the opportunity to shoot an MP5, M4, M249SAW and a M107A1 50 Cal Sniper Rifle. I had a blast shooting all of them but the highlight was the M107 of course. You are able to shoot at 1000 yards in the open as opposed to 20 yards in an enclosed space like on the strip. I don't know about you but I have no interest in shooting a 50 Cal rifle in a enclosed space! If you have the time, I absolutely recommend taking the time to head out here and go shooting for the day. Only took me an hour to shoot my list of guns, but I loved every minute of it.

My wife and I thought we would try out the Pro Gun Club for an afternoon of shooting. We were in the process of trying to determine which firearm would be a good fit for purchase. With several hand guns available to rent we decided to visit the shooting range. After arriving and watching the safety video we began the rental process only to find out we would have to have someone with us at all times so we wouldn't run off with their gun. Also if I wanted to shoot my pistol it would have to be in a different part of the range as personal guns weren't allowed in the rent a gun area. We declined a rental and decided to just shoot our personal gun brought. Do you need a target were asked? Yes. Do you need a target stand? Of course. How else do you shoot a target we asked? 10 dollars to shoot as a local. 20 as a non local. 10 dollars per target stand. A super non friendly safety officer to get those stands. No supervision at the pistol range and shooting pistol distances were on the shooting range with people shooting from behind you all the while your hoping nothing ricocheted at you. Clark County Shooting Park. That's where we will be going from now on. Don't waste your time going here.

I've shot at several of the many ranges in Vegas. Most are indoors, which is OK if its hot outside I'm just planning to fire some handguns, but shooting large caliber long guns isn't especially fun due to the noise and the max. 20 yd range. Desert Hills Gun Club is an extremely challenging range where I've improved my skill as a shooter. The handgun range offers spots for paper targets while also having some easy-to-use steel targets (think: like those carnival games at the fair, except with a LOT more power). They have a nice range for long guns too, with stand placement out to 200 yd and fixed targets out to 1000 yard. They have skeet, trap and a course for sporting clays as well. Its a fairly large complex, so if you don't want to move around much between courses to use your different calibers, you can also shoot in the berms. Overall, this has grown to be one of my favorite places to shoot.

This was by far the best gun club that I visited, so good I went twice in two days!!! They picked up from the hotel Jim was our driver, great chap really nice. Once at the range obviously you go through the safety, watch a short film. You then choose what you would like to shoot, you rent each weapon that you choose, and the only cost after that is the ammo, which you can purchase as much or as little as you want, charges roughly 20 dollars for 15 rounds, depends what gun you use. Of course they have the 50cal sniper which you shoot at a target 1000 yards away, where else would you get the opportunity to see how this machine works? A brilliant experience, but be prepared for the bruise after firing it!! The kick from it is something else, I could only cope with firing 3 of the 5 bullets hubby had to finish it!! We used the glock as well, the instructor's were brilliant, nothing was to much trouble for them, you can stay as long as you want. A bit of advance warning that you want to go would be advised as they get quite busy, and not surprising, hence our return visit. Its great fun, as long as you remember your surroundings and the safety. You can shoot paper targets or steel targets which are fun, not as easy as it may look though!!! I was determined to hit them!!!! All said and done I highly recommend them, they are however now called Pro Gun Club. Will definitely go back there next time in vegas.

A special thanks to Chris, our host for the few hours we were out there, this was definitely the highlight of my bachelor party weekend. Highly recommend shooting the BAR, the grenade launcher and the Barrett M82 50 cal. Sooooo much fun. And all out in the open air. The 50 cal shots are at a target in the hills at 1000 yards

This was my Father's Day gift to my partner. He had no clue I had arranged this. I am pretty ignorant regarding guns, so I emailed desert hills, and asked them to put together a fun afternoon of shooting for my SO. I gave them an amount I wanted to spend, scheduled and time...and that was it. They are amazing! Personalized service, friendly and knowledgeable.

Well if you want to shoot a real gun you have to come to this place. Desert Hills Shooting Club and Store is an awesome experience. They have new and current guns for you to shoot, nothing old and beat up here. I rented a barrett M107A1 50.cal just like the ones the US Military uses in Afghanistan and other hot zones I felt like a army ranger or seal shooting this awesome rifle, an experience to cherish and remember for a long time. THE STAFF are excellent! and there's a bar as well and lodge type sitting area (of course if you are going to shoot you better not drink until you are finished or it won't happen. If you are looking for a great place to shoot many types of guns, handguns, rifles, etc etc this is the place! if you want to get away from it all (this is the place as well) after all - you are in the middle of a desert here.

Highly recommended! Located about 10 minutes from the Hoover Dam and 25 minutes from Las Vegas. Safe and completely relaxed environment. No need for a Nevada driver's license or a gun license. All shooting is done outdoors. No need for an appointment. There is also a bar/restaurant on the premises. An instructor accompanies you the entire time for safely. You get driven around in a golf cart between shoots. We tipped the instructor $20 after the 2 hour experience.Multiple automatic weapons and hand guns to choose from (even WWII weapons). We Shot:Barrett 0.50 m107a1 Rifle - $70 with 5 rounds ($120 for 10 rounds)Heckler & Koch MP5 9mm - $50 with 2 magazines (25-30 rounds in each)Beretta 20 gauge shotgun (model 3901) - $25 for the gun, $12 for ammo (50 rounds), and $14 for 50 Clay SkeetsGreat Experience! Have fun.

What a good experience. The staff was wonderful. If you want to see and feel the power of fire arms first hand this is a great place to do it. The range Safety officer took his time explaining what the guns and what they can do. If you have the budget shoot the .50 fully automatic. We had the pleasure of even blowing up a car. You guys pack in a full shooting experience. Thank you and I will be back

I searched online for about 2 months to find a good, friendly and cost-effective club in Vegas to do some shooting so I had high expectations when I eventually decided to go to Desert Hills. Everything about this place is highly professional yet extremely friendly and the emphasis right from the start is on safety. The place is also very easy to find and very quick to get to from anywhere in Vegas because it's not too far from the freeway.I came along with my wife and we were sat down to a safety briefing straight away. Everyone gets this, even the experienced shooters which is a really great idea as you cannot be too careful around guns. We were taken out by Bobby who is extremely knowledgeable about guns and he showed us what, how and where to shoot. Each gun was explained carefully and we could ask all the questions we wanted to and take as many photos in as many poses as we wanted. My wife and I both had a really great time and cannot recommend the place enough. We were thinking about going to one of the many indoor shooting ranges more centrally located in Vegas but were really glad that we didn't. It was much better being outside where you can shoot over a greater distance (we shot the Barrett sniper rifle at a target over 1km away!!!) Although we didn't do it, these guys allow you to shoot huge machine guns like the 0.50 cal you get on Humvees and shoot at explosive targets and cars and stuff. You just can't get that variety on a small indoor shooting range.
