We have enjoyed going to Lampe Park in Genoa. There is nice places to walk; there is an excellent "self paced" par course. There are ballparks to play at. There are nice places for picnics. The "creek" area does attract ducks and geese (note: This area is a migratory path stop over area so do expect to see them. It is what makes this area amazing to visit. When I was there there were several people enjoying seeing the birds, geese, and ducks.)It has nice play areas and across the way an excellent skate and bike park as well.Parking is free and I had no problem finding a place to park. If events in the park, just plan accordingly. Its close to downtown area, but on a side street. It is nicely managed and a good place to go to enjoy the great outdoors. Locals like it and lucky for me, through trip advisor, I too found this delightful large park in Gardenerville.

A park that is infested by Geese and their droppings are more of a sanitation problem, like having an ordinance about No Dogs, No Bottles, No Geese, stop feeding the birds and give Lampe Park its name back. Dissgusting!

From the dog park, dog shows, special events and horse shows this place is a wonderful part of our community. It is always clean, well managed and a good convenient location.

A nice park in the middle of the town, with several baseball fields along with tennis and volleyball courts.

Lampe Park is a large gathering area in town for residents and visitors. In summer, there are several softball fields and an active softball league, as well as tennis courts. Picnic tables and a covered area with more tables for use whenever. Bathrooms and water fountains. In early June each year, Carson Valley Days ends here after a parade through downtown 395, with a fairgrounds atmosphere with carnival rides, booths for crafts and foods, and contests for kids and grownups. Includes a stream running through it, with ducks and geese. In this pleasant rural town, Lampe Park is a welcome, cool place to spend a spring or summer day. Open year round.
