Nice place to gamble. plenty of servers with drinks. machines are a little tight. Average place in the main casino, Parking lot Casino west in very clean and also has free drinks just tip the server.

If you like slots, this is a great place. They start at a penny machine and go up from there. Other games are also available but most of the over 60 crowd were playing slots. They did not pay off a great deal but I did come out ahead after a small amount of playing.

Let's face it - I'm reviewing a casino. I grew up in the area, so I know what they're all about. But I left the cigarettes at the bus terminal when I left town at about 19 years of age. Don's place has a non-smoking area, but there just isn't that great of a ventillation system to make it so that you don't still smell horrifically like smoke. And there is no way to get to the hotel elevators without passing through the thick air. That said, most of the staff was friendly. Cocktail waitresses come around at regular intervals to make sure you aren't too dehydrated to put in the next $20 bill. Sat at the bar for a while and played video poker, and that seemed to be the area that didn't have as much smoke, and I also seemed to win more there.

My family came to stay as they had a travel package for this location. I've always viewed the rooms as run down and dated--however the room they were in was pretty decent, a non-smoking sizeable suite-type room you can access from the non-smoking section of casino. That's the one reason I didn't give the property a lower rating. Good on them for having updated rooms. To be fair, this IS the oldest property in the area so it's got some miles on it. The non smoking section of casino is bright with a high ceiling. It's ok. I can't say anything more about it, a bit boring. But not smoky. Outside the non-smoking section, the casino is dark, dank and filled with folks from another era puffing away on cigarettes. The ventilation is awful (I doubt that'll ever change). The cigarette smoke is mixed with an ever-present, unidentifiable sweet scent the casino uses. I try to avoid that area altogether. Loser's Lounge is a waste of time if you're looking for a "real" nightclub. Even the DJ there didn't look thrilled he had to play all that old music but, that's who was frequenting the place--people who haven't discovered new tracks even exist. It's a safe haven for the older crowd to reminisce I suppose. It's like a time warp. The restaurants inside are decent. Nothing to write home about, not bad but not superior either. The bowling alley also is decent, but you need to fight through cigarette smoke to get there. Cosmic bowling was fun. All in all, I don't visit this property except to see a movie or if family comes in. The vibe is old, stale and generally dated. There are better options on the Laughlin "strip", even if this was the property that started it all. Needs some tlc.

Riverside may have a lots of history, and it shows. Everything here is dated. My least favorite casino resort or all the casino hotels and resorts I have been to across the country. It's smoky from check-in to check-out. Rooms are rickety, noisy, or outside searchlight lights literally flooding the room. Even with drapes shut tight, it's bright. If you want a good night's sleep, it takes getting use to. If you fly in on one of it's charter flight deals, it's a good deal. Otherwise, well, look around for better accommodations, amenities, and deals.

We tried their buffet for lunch- it was average. Lots of older people and motorized scooters are in abundance. We liked the history of the building, and the casino was very old school, lots of choices.

My first review stated a possible bed bug issue. It wasn't a possible bed bug situation. There was bed bugs in my room! KT

The original Riverside Casino located in the smaller white building at the river side was the first one built in Laughlin. Even though the machines are the new non-coin type the ambiance is 30+ years ago. To my knowledge it is the only casino in Laughlin that still has a Keno parlor where for a couple dollars a game you can enjoy the free drinks and watch the action. Love it!!

This casino isn't the biggest or best in Laughlin but it always brings in the (older) crowd. I don't know if it's the nostalgia of the place or what, but the gaming here is as old as it gets. Even the 'non-smoking' area has games I haven't seen for years. It's a very comfortable and roomy casino, with a diversity of attractions (classic car collection, bowling, restaurants, sandwich shops, specialty shops, etc). There are often car shows, BBQ cookoffs, etc going on in the parking lot as well. You probably won't win here, the machines seem to be a bit tight but it's a comfortable place to spend time and there is a free water taxi to the other side of the river (nothing there, but you can ride the boat back and forth).

Love the variety of games. Cocktailers are fairly attentive, especially if you tip them well. We played for a few hours and pretty much broke even. So winning and losing is a state of mind.

Security is horrible. If you're a male and wear glasses, do not try having fun there. You could be thrown out. Reguarldless if you started it or not. Security refuses to watch their suevalance. You are not allowed to have a good time minding your own, if you don't fit the description. You must have a cool look to have fun there, or you get kicked out, but it is the cheapest spot in that area. If you just go to Laughlin to lose money, and not sight see, you should be alright.

lots of things to do at this casino. they have a 34 lane bowling alley,,a dance studio,,,a dance hall,,a dance club with live bands. They also offer a cruise on the Colorado River with a narrative about Laughlin and BullHead , Ar

We just returned from a 3 night trip. Services at the resort far exceed the standard hotels in Laughlin. Rooms are dated but there was a note that said they are in the process of a refurbishment. The casino has also had a lot of upgrades done and they're still being done. Once the rooms get the upgrade I don't see any reason this hotel shouldn't receive 4 stars.

The Prime Rib Room restaurant at this hotel is very good. We had the sweetest waitress who sat us at her favorite table in a nice window corner with a view of the river. The employees are very nice and make the experience. It's popular, so call ahead for a reservation. They also do bonus packages like movie tickets for an extra couple of dollars-ask.
