Very nice golf course close to Hwy 580 in south Reno. There is not an unfair hole on the course regardless of your handicap and the course is kept in very good condition. The practice range is okay and their PGA teaching pro is Lindsay Hopkins who is an excellent instructor, knowledgeable and patient! Play can be slow at times but is usually average for an 18 hole course. Nice people, good course and nice restaurant/bar, great way to spend a morning or afternoon!

I play this course several times a year. It is always in great shape and the differing tee locations make it a challenge for any rank of golfer.

This golf course is a mix of old and new. It used to be the golf course for the students at UC Reno. I am a so-so golfer; my husband is better. I thought the course was well maintained. My husband felt the greens were too fast, but I always thought that is a sign of a good course. Hitting your ball in the rough usually means that you've lost it. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The golf carts are gas which surprised us. The gps on the cart was helpful. All-in-all, this was a good experience. We will probably play there again the next time we visit Reno.

Had a really good time, never did figure out the greens, fun playing with two regulars. Very addequate challenge.

This is a fabulous course, with a lot of interesting features for the more experienced golfer. On the day I played, weather was cool (high 70s, surprising for this time of year), with wind consistently at 20 miles per hour gusting to about 35. Clearly a two club wind. That's feature number one. Add to that a lot of holes with significant elevation changes--you are hitting down to a bunch of the holes, and that's feature number two. You need to think on this course. I like that.Greens are true, well mowed and very, very good. And fast--probably about Stimp 12. Fairways, likewise, are very well kept--very few "stress" spots in them. The fairways are also "deep"--when you take some dirt, you are not down to hard pan. Rough is mowed to about 2 inches. In short, the course was a good test and extremely well maintained. The distance on the course ranges from 7100 yards for the black tees (72.0/130 slope) to 6068 yards for the white (M: 67.3/122, W: 74.1/135). [The silver tees are a more gentle 5100 yards (W: 69.0/124).The gas cart includes an adequate but not elegant GPS. I played (by choice) as a single. Pace of play was blazingly fast--I was finished in 2 hours and 40 minutes (I played through one 3-some). The clubhouse staff was very friendly, checking was swift, there was a more than adequate putting green and a driving range (purchase balls). "Service" in terms of club-cleaning did not exist on the day I was here (and frankly is rarely needed anyway. I do not take that as a negative.) The restaurant menu included an excellent pulled pork sandwich for $7.I will play this course again--probably several times. It is the best I have played in Reno, and one of the best I have played.

This is a decent course and helpful staff but they really need to do a better job of marshalling players. The course wasn't busy but one group really slowed the pace and the wait on 18 to tee off was 20 minutes. Completely unacceptable for pace. Good challenge with the wind and elevation changes.

I played here after bowling in a tourney in Reno. I called the day before and told them I was a single and could they get me out in the a.m. No problem, I got offered a couple of starting time options. I got there early, not sure of the traffic or my GPS and they sent me right out about 0645. Needless to say, I made good time, and the course was in good shape. The greens are tough to read and fast. The fairways were excellent and good to hit off. Due to the three putts on a few greens I shot 89 using a Callaway set that was procured at the Pro Shop. I got done so early, that I ate some breakfast and they got me out again with a two-some at 1025. This time it was slower and warmer, but we still made reasonable time and getting a little more use to the speed of the greens and the slopes involved I had 86 with one lost ball that cost me two shots. We got done by 1430 on the second 18. Staff in the Pro-Shop was friendly and efficient. Excellent. Snack bar was quick and the food was good and reasonably priced. Low winds early in the morning, more wind in the afternoon. Rental set was used but OK. I killed the driver, but would have dumped the hy-brids for a 5 and 7 wood in a second. I hate hy-brids. Putter was an Odyssey standard putter. I brought my shoes, some balls, and tees. I hit it straight and lost only one ball. If you spray it be prepared to reload at the Pro-Shop because the desert is not a forgiving mistress. I will play here again next time I am in town. Good folks and a good track, not too long and in good shape. Greens fee was $55 and $27 on the replay. Free club use for USBC bowlers.

Spent about 6 hours at Wolf Run for a scramble golf tourney with about 150 of us. The course was fun, even tho I am horrible at golf. Overall a great day and would return anytime.

I am a mid handicapper - love the elevated tees. Course in great shape! Our ladies had a great time. Everyone at the course was very accommodating!

I volunteered for a function last night and they were all so nice and kind. Great food, great people and atmosphere! Couldn't ask for a better facility.

Nice greens, not fancy, no resort attached, but it has challenging holes, simple practice greens n range.

This is the home course for the University of Reno golf team. It is a fun course that is heavily used. It plays extremely long on a windy day, which is when we played! Take the time to play this course, you won't be disappointed.
