The acting was great, the booing and cheering was the way it should be at a melodrama. The theater was comfortable. Only negative was that the kids present (A lot of them) went way overboard on throwing popcorn. It distracted a bit from the drama of the melodrama, as they threw buckets and buckets of popcorn.... In spite of this, however, the evening was fun and the melodrama enjoyable.... would recommend this, but be sure you attend a melodrama. A friend of mine thought they were attending a melodrama, but it was a weird play.

We really enjoyed the performance of "Always a Bridesmaid". It was a funny play and the actresses did a great job. The place was pretty full and everyone seemed to be having fun. The concessions are priced well too!

Melodramas are at the theatre which is located inside of Mahoney State Park. You'll need to pay a park entry fee, but it is well worth it. Audience participation is encouraged and the actors are very good with just the right tone of hamming it up with the audience. Very entertaining and funny. Don't forget the popcorn for tossing!
