We stumbled on Vala's about 3 or 4 years ago and have been visiting every October since. So much to see and do that it is hard to see everything in one day. We'll be back next year!

Vala's is a wonderful family business that has become a fall family tradition for thousands. Plan to make this a part of your fall plans

Vala's has been part of our fall family memory making since my son was in a stroller. This last year, we took him and another twelve year old, and, as always, the kids had a great time. We like getting there in the late afternoon right after school- when the little ones are going home but we still have some daylight. On Friday evenings, some of the high schoolers will be at football games, so it may be somewhat less crowded; we stay until 9 or 10 PM, depending on how cold it is. Be sure to bring gloves and warm jackets if you stay after sundown, a crisp fall evening with the scent of bonfires adds to the experience, but being too cold can send you home early. For dinner, I stood in line at the new Pie Barn, while dad and the kids did the adjacent Big Slide, Corn Maze, and sports area, then called them when it was time to carry the food to a table. My chicken pot pie and pecan pie was homemade yummy. The boys also enjoyed the pumpkin cannon demonstration, pig races, apple slingshot, (which cost extra), haunted house, lost mine, magic show, dog trick show, s'mores at the campfire, (which cost extra), pedal cars, flaming torch juggler and giant bounce inflatables. We didn't have time to get to the hayrack ride/pumpkin patch, and don't buy our pumpkins there because of the price. Valas's is a great midwest fall experience for toddlers to teens, based on our experience, I highly recommend it!

We visited Vala's with our granddaughter last week - what a great place. Huge farm, get there early. Lots of attractions and activities for kids of all ages. Big slide, corn bin, peddle bikes, farm animals, spooky houses for different age groups, good pies, apple sling shot, corn maze, etc. Fun day. They are only open around Halloween each year. Difinitely recommend Vala's

We go here every year for our family outing and for many great reasons. However, this year we received less than par service. I understand that when it rains..the grounds are muddy...but that is no reason for our fire not be started by the time we get there. In the past, we have arrived to a fire started and a site cleaned and ready to go....not this time. We arrived to a site, paid for three months in advance, with full garbages and rude entry personel. Im a manager at a hotel nearby and doubt I will be referring anyone their way.

Was very windy which blew a ton of dust in our face. Lots of rain would make it muddy. Lines for food are VERY long and slow so they have a long way to go in process development . But if you are fine with that or can find the perfect day you are in for a good time for young kids. Hint: buy Your tickets on their website to save money and move to much quicker entrance line.

We went to Valas with my sister during our visit this weekend and we had some fun. There is so much to do that it really is a two day thing. I was disappointed because I didn't see pumpkins like I thought I would since it was a pumpkin patch. It seems to be more or a festival to me. I did see pumpkins on the hay ride where we drove through the patch. I was just expecting to see some already out and ready for purchase but like I said, it is so big that I could have just missed it. As much as we enjoyed ourselves I feel like it was much to big and packed. I like more of a low key, family time type of patch.

Vala's is a wonderful all day pumpkin patch. There is so much to do and see. The kids love all the activities they have to offer, slides, playground area, big bubble to jump on... The list goes on and on. They have amazing chili bowls that my husband absoletly loves!!! It can get pretty pricey though, so maybe pack a lunch to save a few bucks if you have a larger family. But I would suggest eating dessert at the barn, super yummy!!!

Spent a lovely day here with my daughter and her two friends. There are literally acres of fun. A few things are not covered in the entrance fee, but the small nominal fee is worth it for the train ride and other extra activities. Pig races and punkin chunkin are fun! Many places to eat and the new pie barn is beautiful! We will go again!

This place is amazing. Endless amount of things to do, many wonderful things to eat. Our 3 and 5 year old have so much fun. We drive 4 hours every year to come to Vala's. Worth the price of admission.

Vala's has a lot to offer and can be a really fun place to go. The problem is that you have to wait a long time for everything, parking, food, hayride. Once you finally park and walk to the entrance you end up paying the overpriced admissions and then you have to pay for many of the attractions inside as well. I have been here several times and always on a weekend. I would suggest going during the week if you can as I would assume that it isn't as busy then. I wouldn't mind paying a high entrances fee if I didn't have to wait 30-60 minutes for the popular attractions, such as the hayride. This really is a fun place to take kids, but it is over-crowded and can get very expensive.

It is pretty expensive anymore, but it is a lot of fun. They are constantly adding and remodeling. It tends to be pretty busy so try to go on a weeknight.

Hay rack rides, jumping pillows, family bikes, corn on the cob, corn maze, cookies in a cone, this place is an instant annual family tradition.

This pumpkin patch has expanded and offers a lot, including scads of pumpkins, food and drinks, tractor-flatbed rides out to the patch, a haunted house. They do provide this who help guide parking, which can get very crowded (they have a large parking area). Prices are to enter, and prices for the food/drinks/pumpkins. However, prices are very high.

I love Vala's, even though it is a bit pricey, it is a great place to visit. I do recommend going during the week if possible. It is a popular place and is severely crowded on the weekends. I have been visiting for the last three years (It is only open during the Fall season) and I have noticed that they are constantly adding new attractions, restaurants, and amenities. I believe they are adding a "Pie Barn" for 2014 in addition to other stuff. I went with my two sisters, mom, and niece who was one year old. We all loved it, especially feeding the goats and llamas. This is a great place to bring your family.
