I went to St. James Gate for the first time with a bunch of friends, and we arrived at 1Pm on a Friday. The place was actually not empty as I thought it would be. We ordered food and drinks and starting enjoying ourselves. The food was actually restaurant worthy, and not just a burnt burger. The beer selection is excellent! They have a pool table, dart, stage for live music, several TVs, a big screen and an outdoors area with a mini-put hole and a table tennis set up.St. James Gate might just be the best bar in all of Belmont. Hands down. Definetely coming here again soon!

I was just here two weekends ago on saturday and had a great time, as usual. This bar is unique for the area, in the fact that there are live bands every friday and saturday. Also, it is nice to find a bar where there is a wide age and personality range. The bar itself is nothing special or fancy, but they have great, friendly bartenders and a wide variety of beers on tap! There are two stages for music, one inside and one outside. They have all types of bands and the crowd is not your usual 20 something douchebags, it's a bit older like mostly 40 to 50 year olds. All in all it is a great time and a big dance floor to enjoy the great music. I go here about 1-2 times a month and look forward to going back soon!
