When you walk into this tasting room, Mr. Talbots love of motorcycles can't be missed- they are everywhere! Love the eclectic feel, but I came for the wine, and they deliver!There are two tasting choices and since there were two of us, we each had one. Talbott Winery has specialized in Chardonnay and Pinot Noir- great choices for Carmel Valley. Chardonnays range from light fermented in steel to oak fermentation. Fortunately, they do not go for the overly oaky/buttery wines that numb the tongue. They also have a wide range of Pinot.While there were definite standouts on the menu. I didn't taste any wines that I didn't like. The Sarah Case Chardonnay was a definite high point.

I was in Carmel Valley to purchase a bottle of wine for Valentine's Day, so I stopped at Talbott Vineyards. First, I looked at all the wonderful motorcycles they have on display there; lots of fun to see.I then asked to sample two chardonnays and selected one for Valentine's Day. The winery tasting room personnel are world class. They said - Oh, how wonderful and said they could make it into a Valentine's gift package for me if I wanted. I said that would be nice. They asked - would you like to purchase a nice chocolate to include in the package. And I said - Great idea and selected one.And then they worked magic and made one of the most beautiful Valentine's presents ever!!Now, that is world class service. It totally exceeded my expectations.So good wine, great motorcycles, and world class service - its five stars all the way!

Stopped in Talbotts while checking out Carmel Valley. Lovely and spacious tasting room. The owner is obviously into racing....we were surrounded by gleaming motorcycles of all kinds adn an impressive and unrestored collection of antique metal children's riding toys. Our wine server was friendly but busy. Ample parking, very clean bathrooms onsite. Cheeses and crackers available for purchase; some crackers available at the tasting bar. Very popular place; be prepared to make room. We had the premium/reserve flight....didn't taste anything I really liked. I would recommend the basic flight instead.

I frequent many of the wineries in the area, and there are only a couple that consistently create exceptional wines! Talbott never disappoints! They have tasting rooms in Carmel Valley AND the Santa Lucia Highlands

What a fun surprise to see all of the vintage motorcycles in excellent condition. There is also a collection of toy cars from World War II era. Pretty property. Bring sandwiches and have a picnic at the tables outside.

Sipped several Pinots of good character, as well as some Chards not too oakey (smile), all reasonably priced. Character-filled tasting room with some vintage motorcycles and old steel kids pedal cars over one ceiling area. Located in Carmel Village just off the north side of the road. Located approximately 12 miles / 15 minutes east of the intersection of Hwy 1 and Carmel Valley Road.

A great time spent tasting some of the best wines they have to offer. Everything from the Diamond T area of the vineyard was incredible. Both tasting room staff and the vintners themselves stopped in to chat, and it was a great experience. Highly recommend a stop on a wine tour.

My husband & I had a glass of the 2012 Chardonnay with lunch at a restaurant in Carmel and enjoyed it so much we decided to visit the tasting room. We were served hot white wine - I do appreciate tasting wine at room temperature but I kid you not this bottle had been sitting in the sun and was well beyond warm. The first person to greet us was pleasant enough but then she went off to take care of other customers next employee greeted us with" well what are you on" we tried one more wine and inquired about their policy for waiving the tasting fee with purchase - the menu card said they would wave the fee for two with the purchase of three bottles I asked the server if there was a reduced bottle price for one tasting and she replied "can't you read" well that was it I gave her the 10 dollars for the tasting. Left and now I will never drink their wine again.

The Kali Hart pinot noir tastes as good as many pinots at twice the price. The tasting room is easy to reach and has outdoor seating.

Talbott is one of my top wineries to visit in NorCal. We were introduced to Talbott about a year ago after attending Cooking for Solutions at the Monterey Bay Aquarium. Today after wrapping up our 2014 foodie event we took a quick trip out to Carmel Valley for a Talbott tasting. As a member of their wine club we had a custom tasting of five of Chardonnays. The only wine we missed is the Talbott Logan Chardonnay that is now sold out. My wine club shipment is on the way but I decided to pick up a couple of bottles of the Sarah Chardonnay made with grapes form Talbott's Sleepy Hollow Vineyard. We planned to grab a quick bit before our ride home. Our wine steward recommended getting a take out pizza from Cafe Rustica across the road. We enjoyed the pizza with a glass of Talbott's Kali Hart Chardonnay on Talbott's patio. We such such a pleasant visit and so enjoyed the hospitality of their tasting room team. Members receive complimentary tastings; non members pay a fee.

Very friendly and excellent wine. Love the motorcycles..outside seating, very relaxing. First time visiting this new location. Have been to Talbott located in Greenfield, love that location also.
