A reasonably priced muni course tucked in the upper hills of Bidwell Park means playing in the shade of large valley oaks and olive trees lining the fairways that amble up and down hills, around corners and over creeks - quite a change from the predictable up and back straight fairways common to many urban muni courses.

This is a local, public park of over 2500 acres that was donated to the city many years ago. In it are numerous swimming holes, picnic and hiking and this golf course! It is a very nice course, wide open but with lots of beautiful trees, deer roaming around and pleasant surroundings. It has recently included food and beer and serves breakfast and lunch plus snacks for on the course eating. Very nice way to spend a half day!!
