Today, as a rules official, I worked the web.com qualifier at Diablo Creek Golf Course. I've played this course years ago and didn't like it. Was I ever surprised at the quality of this course today. They have two wells supplying ample water, which is important during our current drought. Fairways were green and the rough was cut low. What surprised me the most were the quality of the greens. In the past they were terrible with ball marks and damage. Not today. The greens were immaculate. Now, maybe they fixed it up for a PGA qualifier, but I doubt it. After all this is a muni course with a lot of play. So, I have to give credit to the grounds crew, the players, and course management for doing an excellent job of keeping this course in great shape. They have an excellent practice facility. So for a non-resident to play on the weekend for $41.00, I think you will be vey happy.

Diablo Creek get hard play but tries to maintain a golf experience. This works most of the time with a course that is in good shape but with slow play. The food is good and the staff is friendly. With its heavy play, the course doesn't offer discount play or golfing deals. It's somewhat costly but offers enough of a challenge to test your golfing skills.

Diablo Creek is a course I've played many times and it never disappoints. The fairways are well maintained and the greens are fast, manicured and offer some great challenges. The driving range is fun and the food at the club house is fresh with fast service! If you want a good value and don't mind traveling to the north side of Concord, give this is a try, I think you'll like it!!!

This course isn't going to necessarily challenge the single digit handicapper, but I think it has a good variety of holes and challenging par 5's. The variety of challenges from narrow fairways on some holes, to water, to undulating greens should challenge any duffer and provide for some great practice. The 19th hole (Champion's Bar & Grill) is a must stop after any round of 9 or 18!

This is a good course. I grew up playing this course and worked there for a few years. It is a challenge from the back tees. They get a lot of play so the course will never be a top golf course but again it can be hard.

Hi gang, I used to play here often but stayed away for years due to increased fees, probably been 10 yrs since my last visit. I was informed that this muni course has contracted out its maint duties to a landscaping firm. The course looks very well maintained and found quite a few water puddles from the ample irrigation effort and it's paying off. The course is lush and the greens were perfect. The check-in wasn't. Starter apparently forgot his greeting manners when he left home today. I felt like I was given a robotic reception with no " welcome to Diablo Creek", no "please" or "thank you" just "last name?", "resident?", "sign for cart", "write down cart number", etc., apparently he forgets which way the money flows... Found the course to be clean and receptive. Bunkers in great shape and fairways offer good lies. If you haven't played here in awhile, come on back for a re-visit.Rich

Good location. Excellent parking. Well maintained course. #2 used to have a full sized tree in front of the green making driver accuracy a necessity. Takes a really heavy hitter to hit #3 in regulation from any of the tees. 600 yd, par 5, into the Delta winds most of the day makes it nearly impossible to hit green in regulation. And it gets more challenging from there.Have fun and remember that golf is really one lesson in humility after another.

This is a good course to walk because it's flat. Don't let the wide open look fool you this is a good test of gold. Don't recommend the back tees unless you are a low handicapper. They keep the course in great condition for the amount of play it gets and you will get your money's worth. The par 5 3rd hole is one of the most challenging I've ever played, a definite 3 shot par 5 over and around two lakes and usually against a prevailing wind. Back tees measure 665 yards with about 240 carry over the 1st lake. there are some fairly easy holes also but some big numbers can be found there if you are not careful. i used to live in the area and played this course hundreds of times so i know of what I speak. the restaurant is a sports bar and nice to have a drink or a meal after golf.

I like the lay out of the course and that it is well manicured. The sports bar is inviting and they always have a great St Patrick's Day Menu to enjoy with friends as well as competitors.

Good value for afternoon and twilight play, but rather expensive during prime time and weekends. Slow play is the real problem gere. Greens are actually quite good for a muni course. And of course, the food at Legends is always pretty good too!

Like the title say's most of the year the greens are slow and shaggy. Flat track with a little length...easy walker. Been there done that kind of course. It is a muni so don't expect much.

Course is flat and of average difficulty. Plays fairly long especially from back tees and for the ladies. Very good condition for the amount of play.Friendly, efficient shop staff. Very popular restaurant, sports bar. Pretty good value for this area.
