yes! My sons' favorite part. He gets to skate with the local kids on a small but nice skatepark in Groveland! we love it!

This is a pretty park in Groveland with trees. Our stops here are usually brief - to use the restrooms and perhaps relax a bit before continuing on our drive to Yosemite National Park. Its a nice park in terms of small town parks so thus the rating. In comparison to nearby Yosemite National Park however its just average so spend your time there if you are not a local California resident. The park has periodic events such as flea markets or food oriented events.Parking is free at the park.

This tree;lined park is a resting spot for weary travelers. Plus Groveland Community Services District has added free bathrooms after the ride up Priest Grade. Yosemite Chamber of Commerce holds its Flea Markets in the upper park on the first Saturday of Each Month. A Great Park.

Located on the east side of Groveland Mary Laveroni Park serves as way stop for travelers, as well as a valuable community asset. picnic tables under the shade of big oaks makes for a wonderful lunch stop on your way to Yosemite. The parking lot serves as the flea market during the summer. A small venue stage serving extensive community events.

I found some treasures and I got to go down memory lane with some of the items I came across. They have those items you can't seem to find, even at a Thrift store.

It was clean and had well kept picnic tables, manicured lawns, and a sports area with some stands.

Mary Laveroni Community Park is quite large for the size of town that Groveland is. This park was originally the train turn-around station during the building of the O'Shaunessy Dam and the Hetch Hetchy water project. Groveland at that time was the center of building operations, boasting a population of 10,000! I digress...The train yard was converted to a park and now has a great play area, jungle gym, horseshoe pit, picnic facilities, bathrooms and parking on the upper level and festival grounds and two stages on the lower level. The park plays host to an annual antique car show in June, 49er festival and Chili cook off in September, Flag ceremonies in November and Saturday Night outdoor movies throughout the summer. Also in the park sits the Museum-Library building. So if you are headed to Yosemite and the kids are restless, this is a good leg-stretching stop.
