Thank you McKenzie Water Ski School for making our summer weekend get-a-way so memorable! My 10 year old daughter was brave enough to give it a go and she was up skiing, thanks to the wonderful instructor, on her first try! AMAZING! The entire staff from checking in, from the instructor who helped to get my daughter ready for her first water ski ride to the boat driver EVERYONE was personable, patient, knowledgeable and fun! Then it was my turn and thanks to a VERY encouraging and patient driver I was UP and skiing; something I haven't done in a while. The entire experience was more than worth it!! We will be back soon!! The McKenzie Ski School is an experience you MUST not pass up while in Lake Arrowhead, CA!!! Thank you!!

Our whole lot of family and friends (there were 11 of us) had a fantastic morning skiing with the McKenzie's! Since we went on a weekday, which I highly recommend as the weekends are crazy in the summer, we had two tandem boats going at the same time. They got 8 of the 11 of us up (three of the more "seasoned" of us gave it the old college try--hated to mess up their average ;-)), and the kids absolutely loved it! We all had an instructor with us. The whole team was lovely, friendly, helpful and encouraging. Highly recommend if you don't have a friend on the lake who has a boat!

So we brought our grand kids up to Lake Arrowhead on two occasions. Once in June of 2012, and once in June of 2013. We called and left messages "both times" for them to call us back concerning a one hour private boat ride around the lake. No phone calls were ever returned. We were prepared to pay $100 or $200. Their sign doesn't say the cost, but it does say they take private trips around the lake.So we asked some friends who own a home on the lake, and they not only took us around for free, but hosted a lunch for us in their mansion. We had no idea they were planning this. We always pay our fair share wherever we go, and never expect others to pay (especially since our friends who must remain anonymous are wealthy celebrities and we would never reveal their name or "expect" them to pay).

Oldest family run business in Lake Arrowhead. If you want a great day on the lake with memories that will last a lifetime do yourself a favor & make the ski school a priority on your list. But do plan ahead they book up quick in the summer. World class ski instructors make it easy for anyone to ski or wakeboard!! Don't miss out!! Oh & they're pretty cute to!!!

I arranged for a 30 minute sunset cruise of Lake Arrowhead with Holly. The driver picked us up from the Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa boat dock (where we were guests) and took us for a lovely tour. He spoke of historical points of interest, and he elaborated on the many famous homes and home-owners on the lake. The timing was ideal as most of the day boaters were off the lake. This family-run operation is efficient and worth every penny. Do this!

Lake Arrowhead is a private lake and you must have "lake rights" in order captain a boat. There is a trick though. If you go to these guys you can pay for a half hour ride and private tour for around $60. It's a great way to see the lake, all the wonderful homes and you don't have to waterski if you don't want to.
