Mikael, the winemaker at Beckman, calls himself the Grenache King, and I don't want to argue. I'm just not sure whether Mikael's Grenache at Kaena is better than any from Beckman because they're all great!

We made this our last wine tasting stop in Los Olivos (saved the best for last). We were greeted by the tasting room manager Chloe. She was knowledgeable and energetic. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and will recommend to friends.

At first glance, I thought it was a Hawaiian resturant. Turned out to be a wonder wine tasting experience in Los Olivos! I was welcomed immediately by Chloe who was cheery and helpful. She explained all about the winery and the founder. She also provided details as to each wine tasted. Chole was truly enthusiastic.

Loved this wine tasting experience in Los Olivos! I happened across this tasting room and just stopped in because of the unique label design. I was welcomed immediately by the winemaker himself, and 3 staff members. Everyone was so friendly and full of good information. Jennifer & Chloe were cheery and helpful. You could see Mikael's love for wines and winemaking and his pride in his staff. He specializes in Grenache, several of which are rated 93+ points. The 2012 Kuli ou ou Cuvee was delicious, as was the 2011 Larner Vineyard Grenache. The 2012 Tierra Alta Syrah was also delicious. The wines are reasonably priced. I ordered several to take with me, and joined the wine club. Definitely worth a visit!
