I hate to go back on my word. I previously reviewed this winery. They have closed their tasting room without notice. So sad. We all loved the place so much.

My friend and I stopped in to ask about the wine trail hike, and we were immediately greeted with friendly trail directions, offer for a rest stop and free bottles of water. After our walk, we did a complementary wine tasting and took two glasses of wine outside to have with our picnic. We loved the Cimarron. And the view! The view is simply gorgeous--vineyards, rolling hills and the lake below. Vigilance is a must stop! It makes Napa look like they don't know how to do it yet, and you're a number there anyway. Vigilance has it all; friendliness, hospitality and great wine.

Stopped in for their case sale this past weekend. Took a friend who was strictly a Chardonnay drinker. She experimented a little with the encouragement of the wonderful staff and now is definitely becoming a red wine drinker. This is due to the amazing reds they put out. Cimmaron is delightful! They also have a womens only wine club, the Vigilance Vixens. The best wine club a lady could possibly belong to.

Along with great wine tasting, enjoy the friendly and beautiful environment. If your timing is right, you'll get to watch the sheep grazing in the vineyard and enjoy a walk on the trail that connects to the Gregory Graham winery.

Vigilance is a sister winery to Shannon Ridge in Clearlake Oaks, which is also highly recommended. Vigilance sits on a hill overlooking the Anderson Marsh and the lower end of Clear Lake and has a nice picnic area and even bocce ball courts. We enjoyed the wine immensely. Lake County is justifiably famous for its Sauvignon Blanc but we were also very impressed with some of their reds, including their Zinfandel and their specialty blend, Cimmarron. Our host was welcoming and quite knowledgable. There is a modest tasting fee but it is applied to any purchases.

The property is incredibly *awesome* view, sheep grazing and of course their Cimmarron Blend, try it!

The winery sits on a hill and has beautiful views from the deck outside the tasting room, the picnic tables and from the bocce ball court. It would be a wonderful spot to enjoy a picnic with a glass of wine. The tasting room staff were very friendly but unfortunately not very knowledgable about wine. To our taste, the wines were decent, pretty average across the board. We were told that most of their wines can be purchased at Bev Mo. We had a fun wine tasting experience here and would recommend this winery!

Wir waren heute für eine Weindegustation im Weingut Vigilance. Der Tasting Room liegt mitten in den Weinbergen und ist umgeben mit einer schönen Aussenanlage, welche einen herrlichen Blick auf die Umgebung bietet. Die Degustation war in Ordnung und wurde mit Informationen zum Weingut und den Weinen ergänzt, was somit innerhalb unserer Erwartungen lage. Ich verzichte an dieser Stelle auf die Details der dergustierten Weine möchte jedoch erwähnen, dass das Weingut einen wunderbaren Sauvignon Blanc präsentiert, welcher definitiv zu probieren ist. FAZIT: Eine Besuch wert und unbedingt den Sauvignon Blanc probieren!
