GET THE APPLE CRISP. Excuse me for "yelling," but this is important. You buy the apple crisp frozen and take it home and bake it. Stop and get some vanilla ice cream to go with it. It's not too sweet like some apple crisps. It's just right. It's better than pie in my opinion. It has to be Grandpa's Cellar's apple crisp. I've tried others. This one is the best. They have other good stuff, too. They list all their goodies on their website. They have a gluten free berry crisp now. I haven't tried it yet, but I'm going to. Their hours vary during the year, so call first.

This place smells like grandma's kitchen as soon as you walk into the bake shop. Sooooo good. I have to recommend the streudel. Some of the best I've ever had. They have a nice little nature trail right across the street which makes for a nice walk in the woods. Glad we pulled in here.

Grandpa's Cellar is a wonderful family friendly place to visit. It's in "Upper Apple Hill" #17, off the beaten path of HWY 50. On October weekends there are crafters and a BBQ. Bring your lunch or buy BBQ and picnic in the orchard, stay as long as you want. Your pets are welcome too. Their friendly employees are helpful and eager to help with any questions. If you don't like to crowded lines in October, order on line. Your order will be waiting for you at the express door. Make sure to visit the gift shop while visiting Grandpa's Cellar. Great place to buy Christmas gifts. I choose Grandpa's Cellar as being #1 for my holiday pies.

Grandpas Cellars has to be the best place to get Apple Pie.Friendly employees and beautiful picnic area for the children and they welcome your pets as well. We go every year for the last 15 years with the family.

We have lived in Camino and Placerville for 34 years and we never miss a chance to visit Grandpa's Cellar. Fabulous Fruit Syrups, Great Bakery and Wonderful place to shop for Birthday's or Christmas. We sent a friend in Italy a box of Grandpa's Cellar's jams, syrups and darling apple cups. They we thrilled and never tasted so good. They have asked for us to send more syrup and jam since. They would like to share it with some of their Italian friends.

This is one ranch we always visit. We love the gift shop-tons of apple themed gifts there!There are many different jams & jellies to pick from. They have a nice selection in the snack shack & there is outdoor seating. They've often had hamburgers/hot dogs too. They have a good amount of craft booths. Parking is usually pretty good, crowded though sometimes.

Even though it was too rainy to pick apples we were welcomed into their lovely pie shop to buy some turnovers for tonights dessert and a pre-frozen French Apple Pie for a future dinner party. Then....the real treat.....the gift shop for all things apple where the scent of apples and cinnamon and some light classical music had a blood pressure lowering effect. You could actually do all your Christmas shopping in one place including those gifts that have to be mailed. Can't wait for Thanksgiving week to go back with my daughter and buy our pies.
