Get a membership. Super reasonable. Awesome selection. Nothing jaw dropping, but a laid back atmosphere to try things at your own pace, regardless of the package you choose. They make you feel like a regular and their favorite customer. Inside and outside seating.

We stumbled on MJA in Feb and made a point of coming back to try another flight of wines. The measures are generous so it's not possible for me to do more than one flight (6wines) at a time. For $8 it's a bargain. The wines are full of flavour. All very different and expertly described. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Sitting out on the patio in those sooo comfy chairs, sipping good wine, has to be one of my fave ways to spend an afternoon. We went to Sanoma but found that quite commercial and expensive and didn't like the wine! This is far more personal and relaxed and I haven't had a bad wine there yet.

We happened upon MJA Winery recently and were happy we did. We sat outside on a deck in the beautiful weather while the owner, Marin, did the pouring himself. He provided lots of interesting information about the wines themselves as well as his journey as a winemaker. The wines were really quite good overall; we left with several bottles in tow. A great way to spend an hour on a sunny Santa Cruz afternoon!

Marin Artukovich makes some wines that I really like. He makes the best local and Napa Valley wines for my taste. I highly recommend joining in the fun of his wine club and the events he puts on. p.s. he makes his own Kona coffee from his plantation on the Big Island.

Excellent wines from the local area as well as some top end wines from his vineyards in the Napa area. Very friendly owner as well as the staff at both his Summit and Santa Cruz tasting rooms. There is almost always an "Aloha" greeting as you walk in the door. Joining the wine club gives you great wines and benefits. A must try when in the Santa Cruz area.

If you want to taste wine in Santa Cruz area this is a must. The wine is superior and the staff is wonderful. Marin and staff are very attentive and pour generous pourings. There is a patio if you want to hang out for awhile and visit with friends or if chilly there is ample bar space for tasting. We live 150 miles away but this is our favorite wine spot.

We dropped into this wine tasting room by accident and were very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the wines. Very good selection of wines and excellent atmosphere.

We live in town and some friends encouraged us to taste here. We picked up lunch at New Leaf next door and sat outside in comfy chairs. The owner, Marin, poured and personally brought each tasting out to us. He engaged conversation and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. What we thought would be a half an hour turned into three hours, membership and eager anticipation of movie night. This is an excellent, unique to Santa Cruz tasting experience, not to be missed!

My husband found this wine tasting here on Trip Advisor. We chose MJA based on the excellent reviews and we were not disappointed. We only planned to taste. We had such fun and enjoyed the variety of tastings offered. We bought several bottles of wine----and will be placing them in the recommended wine skins for the flight home. A definite "must" for wine drinkers visiting Santa Cruz. You won't be disappointed.

This is an excellent stop for wineo's visiting Santa Cruz. Open every day at both locations (Ingalls Street & Summit Road) you will get the opportunity to taste truely exceptional wines, meet interesting locals and experience a true Aloha vibe. As an added bonus the owner, Marin, roasts an outstanding award winning true Kona coffee grown on his plantation in Hawaii.

We had intended to make the rounds and try several of the tasting rooms in Santa Cruz, but we started and ended here. The wine was so good, the experience was so much fun and we had had our fill of wine (plus three bottles to take with us) that we called it a day. The hostess taught us a lot and poured generous tastings. We tried two flights for four people, but the tasting fee was waived since we bought several bottles. Highly recommended!

Wonderful wine tasting room in Santa Cruz. Hawaiian motive and great coffee and wine. This is a do not miss when you are visiting Santa Cruz. Delicious wines, beautiful outdoor space and perfect bar inside.

Loved the wine tasting at this location! We went on a Tuesday afternoon and could only find two places open (the other was Storr's). When we first got there, we were the only ones, but the place filled up quickly thereafter. The young lady behind the counter was very knowledgeable and not shy with the amount of wine she let us taste. If we wanted to try something a second time, no problem. They were offering buy 2 bottles get one free and I really enjoyed the Cabernet Blanc. The owner is either from Hawaii or lived in Hawaii so they have beautiful wood carvings along with Kona coffee. All in all, my best wine tasting experience and I would highly recommend Santa Cruz if time does not allow you to get to Napa or Sonoma.

Wine tasting at MJA was a highlight of our trip. We opted for the flight of reds, and enjoyed them all. Marin is the owner, and he was pouring the day we stopped in. He also grows Kona coffee on the Big Island in Hawaii, and the Aloha spirit is alive and well in his winery. He pairs some of the wines with chocolate covered coffee beans, and others with chocolate covered mac nuts. And you can get the Kona coffee there as well. This place brings together some of my favorite things: wine, chocolate, coffee, and the vibe of Hawaii. Wonderful! But aside from all that, the wine is seriously good!! We bought half a case and managed to stuff it all in our suitcase for the flight home. Don't miss this if you are in Santa Cruz. We will certainly be back.
