If you are looking for a quiet place to reflect spiritually, Our Lady of Peace is a great place to go. The giant statue of Mary is hard to miss and I have known a number of non-Catholics who work around there who like to go over on stressful days to center themselves. For those of you with children, on the weekdays the garden area around Mary is very quiet and though it has grass like a park it is not the place to have your kids running around. That all changes on Sundays after mass when it is much livelier and would be fine to let kids be kids provided they stick to the grass and paths and not on the statue or other tributes to the Saints on the grounds. There is a gift shop there and it is full of anything you will ever need as a Christian. All sacraments are represented along with bibles. As a Catechism teacher I often go here to pick up gifts for my students. If you are looking to go to mass, it is very conservative. Even by Catholic standards. So if you are on the more liberal side I would head over to mass at St. Lawrence a few miles South.

Attended a conference/retreat with Fr Fillippe. Enjoyed the Church and Our Lady of Peace Statue is fantastic. Friendly, helpful people with a wonderful desire to serve God. Will return!

Love my local church, or one of them. This church is a bit different than the other churges in the area because of the very tall statue outside and also the Stations of the Cross that you can walk around the tall towering Mary Statue. I like to visit the church at all hours of the night and the church is open. The gift store is very nice too, it has alot of nice statues, pics, Rosary beads, books, etc. Its open i believe 7 days a week.Oh and take a look at the statues just outside the church, particularlly to St. Jude. You decide.

There is a statue here that is pretty. The congregation is very active. I wish however they would pay a little more attention when exiting the parking lot here. There have been some accidents in this area.Other than that, its a nice church and a pretty statue.

A priest friend of mine says he has been all over the world and that Our Lady of Peace Church and shrine is still the only church he has ever seen which has perpetual adoration of the Blessed Sacrament in the main church. Located in the heart of the Silicon Valley, the shrine is the perfect place to escape from the hustle and bustle in order to silence the mind and heart and so make oneself more aware of God's presence in one's life.

If you ever need just a few minutes of peace and solitude in the midst of your busy day, give this location a try. Walk the small park and touch the statue of Mary. She truly is our Lady of Peace and she brings much needed reflection during a visit. You can see all the notes and mementos from prior visitors also. It is hard to believe thousands of people pass this each day in busy commute mode on the freeway just a few 100 yards away. This is also in the middle of Silicon Valley with offices and companies surrounding her. I used to run here during lunch hours and my favorite run included a brief jaunt by this place for some added inspiration. It is no wonder there were rumors that the Pope had wanted to visit this place during a past visit. Definitely a different place and a nice excursion from the hustle and bustle.

It so peaceful around the church surrounding. There is many statues out the church and the huge statue in the Garden where you can take a walk around the garden .

We just wanted to visit the church after having lunch nearby. My husband looked around as I was taking pictures of the Lady with a huge bust in the extended chapel area. He pointed out to me the huge statue in the garden. Awesome! They even have the stations of the cross, a very nice place to contemplate during the Holy week. And the place is open to the public!

I went to Mass nearly everyday during my stay. They have excellent Mass times for people who work all day. Only thing negative is that there is no air-conditioning. It can get quite hot in the summertime.

This is my church and love the great stained glass windows, each one has some special hawaiian touch. The heel of Father Damien is one of the relics and there is a new addition from Saint Maryann Cope. The church itself has been undergoing renovations however the funding is still needed for all of the work so the process has been very slow, hopefully one day the ceiling will be restored to it's original beauty.

The grounds are beautiful and this place is really pretty for an afternoon stroll after lunch. I would recommend hanging out here and enjoying the fresh air.

I was staying in the area and drove the 4 mins there to see the Lady of Peace statue. It was a nice night and I enjoyed the serenity of the location. I wouldn't go out of your way unless you are very religious and this is your thing. It was just what I expected and I rated it excellent because there was no negative. PS ... only visited the statue ... not the church.

If you are in the area looking for a nice catholic church this is a great choice, you can found services at different times of the day and in different languages. Take your time as usually the church is full especially on sundays

A thirty-two foot statue, made from stainless steel, of Our Lady of Peace presides over a large grassy hill next to this church. How the sculptor managed to get such a beautiful, lifelike expression on the statue's face I'll never know. Who knew steel could be so inspiring. There are benches and a cement wall that allow you to just sit and meditate for awhile. It was a nice break from "sightseeing". Near the church is also a Catholic Book Store. If it is a hot day, bring an umbrella for shade.
