Loved seeing the history of the area, the farms, the wineries, the intentional layout of the infrastructure of the city of Ontario.

I host foreign students every summer, and design their program. I'm just sorry I hadn't taken groups to this museum sooner, and I definitely will schedule it for every group in the future. The museum itself does a great job of telling the story of local history. I haven't found anything else close within the IE. The combination of exhibits, way they are curated, voice narration, and other ways one can 'experience' local history are very well done. The staff were wonderful, helpful, friendly folks who did everything they could to accommodate our large group. We combined this field trip by walking over the Ontario Library to get a little more peek into the area's past, but another option would be to go over to the ice skating rink nearby and enjoy some time there as well.

It's a small town museum in downtown Ontario. It's free and they feature California's history, very educational and interesting for students like my daughter in middle school. I recommend to visit this place!

If discovering the history of the places you visit then this museum is for you when visiting Ontario. They have done a great job in presenting the history of the community in interesting exhibits and artifacts.

The Auto Club had this museum listed as someplace to see something unique and interesting. Through September 23, there is a part of a collection of Grand Canyon pictures taken over the past 125 years. Sponosored by the Smithsonian and several other organizations, this is a marvelous exhibit to see.In addition, there is an interesting permanent exhibit that showcases the development and growth of the U.S. highway system that focuses on Route 66. This too, is interesting.

It is a typical small town museum with several static displays and changing artist exhibits. If you know the area this place will be much more educational as the materials are not adequately explained for the most part. The gift shop is very good with a lot of variety and fair prices. It might even be a great place to buy Christmas and birthday gifts. There are few docents, we didn't see any, and they ask for a donation. Plenty of parking, easy access, but difficult to find without GPS.

Great place to explore the history, art, and culture of the area. Great exhibits on topics from the founding of the area, the farming and industrial background of the area, and the many cultures that have melded to form the current community
