After having made an appointment before we began our trip (a must) we arrived at the appointed time in a driving rain. Announcing ourselves at the gate we were admitted and directed to the main office/tasting room. We were warmly greeted by a lady, a friendly dog and a gentleman, who started off with an introduction to Schweiger. The lady with him kept jumping in with additional remarks and I was afraid he would get upset. After a few minutes we realized that she was a member of the Schweiger family. In fact, she was Diana Schweiger Isdahl, daughter of the founder and she was also the Owner/V.P. of Sales and Marketing. At that point we realized she had been awaiting our arrival to personalize our visit. We then met her brother Andrew, the wine maker, her son (a fine young man with impeccable manners) and got the name of the dog. Our tasting revealed some superb wines, especially their Chardonnay, their Port, the 2009 Cabernet and the 2006 Dedication wine. The history began with Diana's grandfather buying a cabin in a treed area on top of Spring Mountain and her father using his construction workers, when building had stopped, to help.....Oh well, you need to visit to get the rest of the story from Diana. suffice to say; it was a most remarkable visit!

I called to make reservations for 10 people and Wendy was able to accommodate us. We arrived and were met by Wendy. We were treated like family. Talking about family, the five couples that attended took babies that were on average a year old. Other guests were also welcoming of our large group and kids. We got the opportunity to meet the owner Fred. He chatted with us and provided us insight into his masterpiece. The wines were absolutely stunning. The Dedication cab is a must as well as the Port. I am looking forwards to attending this winery during the summer.Highly recommended if you want to take a beautiful drive through the Spring Mountain wine district and enjoy great wines at a secluded winery.

The drive to this vineyard is as beautiful as the actual vineyard itself. We got to meet the owner and his wife. Such a pleasant couple who really enjoy what they do. If you do a tasting here please ask for Erin. She knows her wine and even helped us with dinner options. Please visit this place, they make you feel at home and of course there's wine too.

The winery sits on 35 acres atop Spring Mountain with beautiful views. The wines are all amazingly balanced and were of the best quality in California. The whole staff including the Winemaker's wife were the most friendly and knowledgable we have met (probably visited hundred wineries in 20+ years). We tasted everything they had and then some club only wines. So good that we joined the wine club. If you like great wines (very low production) then this is the place. I'd be surprised if you can walk away without joining this club and/or not taking bottles with you. We did both! Worth the drive up the Mtn.

Thanks to our concierge Laura at the Napa Marriott, who arranged a tasting for my partner and I, we found our favorite! It is way on top of Springer Mountain, beautiful setting, and was just the two of us, on the balcony overlooking the Cabernet grapes, and the beautiful mountain vista. Loved the wines and the port, my all time favorite, AND was lucky enough to meet first Mr Schweiger's daughter, beautiful and friendly, and then Fred Schweiger himself. It was such a treat and the highlight of our week in Napa! I learned so much from talking with our host and can't wait to get our first shipment! Do not miss this for an intimate tasting of some of the best wines in the region!

This winery was an all around wonderful place to visit. The staff was extremely approachable and entertaining. We felt very welcomed and we were treated so wonderfully. The wines were delicious and the views were great. It also has a great and interesting family history which we enjoyed learning about. Definitely will revisit!!

I will start by saying that we made a reservation for ''10" prior to our arrival and the person who made our appointment was very nice and helpful with directions and pertinent information. We were late to our 11:00 a.m. appointment, because of a prior tasting and tour, and we were little worried about what we would encounter once we finally made our appointment!! Never fear - ERIN WAS THERE TO GREET US UPON ARRIVAL and make us all feel welcome and excited for the Schweiger experience! We had a wonderful time and were greeted with such enthusiasm and kindness that the day was definitely off to a great start. We were all so impressed and loved the story of "Schweiger Vineyards" only made a group of Kansan's more appreciative of the hard work and dedication that goes into the making of a beautiful vineyard that offers amazing wines - and one that we we all thought was a great find! Needless to say, we enjoyed our tasting, which included a cheese pairing; a fun and laughter filled tour. We could have spend the entire afternoon at this beautiful setting drinking wine and enjoying the views (if we would have brought lunch)!! This was our favorite of the day!! Schweiger does customer service right!! Ask for Erin - and tell her that the crazy group from Kansas gave her and the wines a 5 star review!! We joined the wine club and ordered wine to enjoy at home - this is definitely a tasting worth the drive! THANK YOU ERIN!

Visited Schweiger Vineyards on a drizzly day for a tasting. Came on a day where they were hosting a wine stomp/tour/tasting/lunch event. Although it had rained overnight and more rain was imminent, the winery adapted and made a wonderful experience. Met the owners, winemaker, host staff and many winery workers. They are very gracious and committed people who also make incredible wine. We had some special requests that they accommodated and gave us very personal attention. The vineyard and winery is on Spring Mountain and provides a personalized experience unlike so many larger wineries. The product is amazing and a great representation of Spring Mountain style. Reservations required and well worth the time to plan the visit. I bought several wines and am now a big fan of their luscious and well crafted cabs. Will be back, and soon I hope.

We pitched up on August 24th, the morning that the 6.0 earthquake had hit the Napa Valley just a few hours before. Fred and Sally rallied in the absence of staff and electricity to serve us a beautiful selection of wines. Fred walked us through the vineyard and shared a lot of information on their methodology, answering tons of questions. Schweiger is beautiful and the attention you will receive from this family run winery is incomparable. I can see from the other reviews that our experience was the norm. It does not surprise me because you can tell that the family loves the business and you are not considered merely as tasters but are treated as honored guests.

This was my 3rd visit to Schweiger, 2nd as a wine club member. I always want to try new places when we come to Napa, but there are a couple I always love to revisit an Schweiger is one. We were planning a big group of ladies for a visit and Carly was so patient with me through adding people on, people canceling, etc. She also arranged for us to have our picnic lunch there which was of course a beautiful setting. Joanne in the tasting room provided us with a wonderful experience and service.

Absolutely awesome experience. All parts of this winery are dedicated to excellence. The property is absolutely gorgeous, with beautiful mountain & vineyard views. The tasting facility is beautiful indoors and outdoors. The winemaker pays excellent attention to quality. I loved every single wine I tasted. We also had a cheese tray made up of local cheeses that were outstanding. The Sauvignon Blanc 2013 and the Dedication wines were my favorites, truly perfect. This winery is a family business that takes a lot of care about production, quality, and a clean, beautiful environment. I also appreciate the solar panel installment, and commitment to sustainability. True quality. The drive to the vineyard is beautiful too. Excellent experience all around. Enjoy it!

All aspects of this winery were outstanding! Service, facility and of course the wine ;). Once we buzzed the gate at our appointment time the magic started. Great views and once parked we were met in the parking lot by JoAnne who had wine and glasses in hand. This is a family run winery and so we had the pleasure of meeting Fred (dad - the farmer) and Andy (son - the winemaker) Schweiger. We are now members of the wine club and are looking forward to when we can return!

This was such a wonderful stop on our trip. We enjoyed a private tasting out on the balcony with Wendy, who was incredibly friendly and interesting with great family stories that helped bring the winery alive. It was a beautiful day, and so nice to get to sit out with the wine and look over the vineyards. We enjoyed the port and chocolate tasting at the end, even though neither of us are big port fans. Loved their Dedication wine, and that ended up being our splurge buy for our trip.

This was our first visit to Napa and a wine tasting experience was number 1 on the agenda. Following recommendations on trip advisor we called Schweiger Vinyard at short notice and within 2 hours we were warmly welcomed by Wendy who patiently proceeded to impart her expert knowledge and history of the Schweiger brand on these 'first timers'. The setting is perfect with wonderful views over the vinyard and the wines sampled were right tastie too (remember 'first timer'). All in all a thoroughly enjoyable experience, whether your a novice taster or a seasoned wino, and highly recommended.

This vineyard is a hidden gem! The cabernet and chardonnay wines are outstanding. A boutique wine and Vineyard found by my wife and I. The staff is extremely friendly and more important no matter what the Cab year it is extremely delicious. Hats off to Fred, Andy, Diana, Paula, and our favorite wine tasting friend Carly :)
