Been here since '85. Has undergone extensive renovations, over the decades. The 'big night' now is Friday: GAMEBOI. a specialty night with an Asian-theme. After 10pm, the "dancefloor" opens, a huge cathedral ceiling'd venue, crowned with a giant mirror ball. Always had a reputation for where" All The really handsome men go". and it's true! There is something for everyone here! especially the (twinky) crowd. very popular with 18-35 year olds. If you like dancing, this is the place!! word of advice: I know it's "hollywood" and all, but LEAVE THE ATTITUDE elsewhere! take your worries & concerns of the day, to the DANCEFLOOR and work it out there! Not with ":dirty-snotty looks" no one needs that (least of all; you!) Have Fun & enjoy the night. (it's not a competition) perpetuate: GOOD VIBES, not darkness! There is usually a door fee ($15-$20) and mixed drinks are pricy: (about $12)

Try the food deals in the daytime and enjoy a quiet drink early evening! At night its much louder! The drinks are LA prices but the happy hour is amazing!

I always have a good time when I come here... guaranteed. It's the first place I stop at when in Boys' Town. My buddies and I always load up here and then walk the strip. Then, we come back to end the night with some good dancing.

i agree, there should be NO dance contest. its cool...maybe on the weekdays but saturday...c'mon. but yeah other then that the music is ok, they need to play more then what you hear on the radio[its hollywood wat the --- am i thinking] a couple requests from MUAH...M.I.A[the Sri Lankan woman]....Daft Punk....Prodigy....Björk....Kelis.... ya get my DRIFT!! lots and lots of beautiful men, but there are some cute lesbians blessing that place with their presense...AKA...ME ;) a good place to let it loose if ya know what im sayin'!! hey hey hey!!!! peace.

The DJ really needs to re-vamp his music style. The Rage is a Weho icon and it should reflect in the music it plays. Who listens and dances to Hi-Energy music anymore? Maybe in aerobics? Also, why a dance contest on a Sat nite? When clubbers want to to go out you want a club with great music/vibe an NO dance contest.

The Rage, which i've known as club "Game Boy"every friday nights is a great place, if you're looking to find a happening place to just dance and let loose... Strangely speaking, I am a straight female and love the fact that i could get all glamoured up once a week and be able to dance freely to excellent music, experience nothing but friendly vibes and not feel intimidated by anything because i know *haha* that no one is watching. So, grab a couple of pals and join the party. I give you my word, it's the perfect prescription to take after a long day of work.
