Its an awesome awesome spot for a good bike ride, jog, or run and the trail is nicely paved right alongside the river. Stay for sunset!

Took a long bike ride along the river. Fantastick trails, for dog walking, bike riding, enjoy in nature.

An afternoon on the river is a really fab way to spend either a lazy afternoon or one fishing. The best time is during the week because it's less crowded. Early evening floats are sublime.

Full of rednecks and people who do not know how to drive a boat. You risk your life if your boat is smaller than theirs.

Bike, hike, or run, you cab't go wrong with the trail system in Bismarck. It is top shelf, nice beach areas, old steam ships, and just beautiful big old trees and bridges. The old Railroad bridge is awesome to watch the trains roll through sitting on the bank of the river with someone special at sunset!

Lovely, quiet Missouri River wildlife area where we actually encountered wildlife one evening near sunset.

There are lookout points on the river that let you see some beautiful scenery. We wish we could have done the riverboat dining cruise. The boat was really authentic looking.

Take a drive down the River Road and check out all the parks along the way. Keelboat Park and Steamboat Park both contain replicas of boats that Lewis & Clark sailed on.. very interesting! There is a sandy beach in this area too. South of highway 94 in Sertoma Park there are lots of trails and you can venture out onto a small sand island for some great photos!

We enjoyed taking a boat cruise on the Missouri River. Its a larger size river - and reminded us of the history surrounding Lewis and Clark River Expedition days.

There are some great views of the river near the city. Get out there. & go driving around to see the sights. The Mandan summer homes on the ridge offer some great views of the area and some pretty homes nearby.

This is not the first town on the Missouri, that would be Great Falls, Montana. By the time the mighty Mo gets to Bismarck, it has been tamed with numerous dams, several artificial lakes, producing a potentially navigable source of predictable water. The valley here is a beautiful vista which you could spend several days exploring. If you have a few hours, drive along the river on the Bismarck side, and go to Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park, south of Mandan. Also, be sure to visit Pioneer Park, north of I-94, exit 157. Turn north go several blocks on Tyler Parkway, then west (left) on Burnt Boat Road several blocks. On your left, look for Pioneer Park. The best link for this is here:http://www.nationsonline.org/oneworld/map/google_map_Bismarck.htmIf you have a few hours to spend, this will give you a nice taste of this thriving area, and its beautiful, stark topography.

The river is very, very dirty. I can't imagine anyone wanted to get in or on this water. I'm sure it will clear/clean up later on in the year but this is as dirty as I have ever seen it. Gross.

This stretch of Highway between Bismark,North Dakota and Pollack,South Dakota is one of the most scenic drive you will ever have. See a working Buffalo ranch around 20 miles North of Pollock,SD to the senic buttes on both side of the Might Mo.There are a couple nice little resorts on this road for food and drinks but no gas, make sure you fill your tank in Bismark or Pollock.

It was a beautiful evening.....we took the 6:00--7:30 PM Cruise on the Missouri. It was very enjoyable, we were able to purchase a glass of wine and they also served light snacks. We were on the upper deck of the boat.....the unfortunate part was that there was no History given or if there was we did not hear it. I spoke to a couple that sat on the First Level and they said that they did not hear anything either. If you are ever in the Bismarck area, I would recommend taking the Riverboat Cruise.

I love the Sertoma park and all those little parks along the river connected by a bike path from the Zoo to the Lewis and Clark Keelboat. Awesome.
