This state park was nice. They have day picnic, overnight camping (tent, RV, Cabin) and a marina. We stated in the Lewis Cabin. It sleeps 5 easily. Had microwave, mini frig, AC/heat, table and chair (both inside and outside), fire pit. Pit toilet close by, regular bathroom and showers up a ways. Regular bathroom/showers were clean. Issue - We arrived after hours and no ranger to get our key to get into our prepaid cabin. If you arrive late find the camp hosts. They will get ahold of the ranger. Also there are lots on mosquitoes. Make sure you have on lots of bugs spray. Wish we were able to spend more than a night here. Was beautiful area.

Maintenance people start work at 8am. A Huge half-ton commercial mower was running around my tent, 3 ft from my head before I was even fully awake. This is very dangerous. When I complained the manager didn't seem to appreciate the absurdity or the danger. He justified the situation explaining his mowing schedule and the fact that "quiet hours" are over at 8am. Why mow the tent area first? Hope no one has to get hurt before they give priority to their camper's safety.

I was really looking forward to my camping trip to Lewis and Clark State Park, but once I arrived and saw the RV campsite I was sorely disappointed. The sites are very close together (nothing like the picture on the reservation website) and there was only one water hookup and fire ring between the two sites. I guess we were expected to share? I have camped at many of the state parks in ND and I have been fairly pleased with my experiences. There is usually quite a bit of open space, ensuring privacy for the campers, but this had campsites placed one on top of the other. We only stayed one night because it just wasn't what we were looking for, even though we had reservations and had already paid for two. If you only want to stop for a quick drop in overnight, this park would be okay, but if you want a relaxing place to camp and enjoy nature, keep on driving! On a positive note, we really enjoyed the walking trails and the landscape of the park. I think it would be great for a day trip or for someone who likes to REALLY get to know his or her neighbors!

we went to look for a camping spot and found a lovely area. we plan to tent there for the weekend and fish a little and i plan to sit and read while my honey fishes. the park is clean and the camping areas are well kept. grass mowed and no trash. the bathrooms are clean and stocked well. a very nice place to go and the lake is beautiful,

Went here for the day and walked along the shore line. The shore is kind of rocky but there is a sign for a "beach" that I did not go to. The campgrounds look very nice. I didn't go into any of the buildings.

Very nice park. We had rented a small cabin (getting a bit old for the tent). A little to many people and children for my taste but over all a nice place to chill with friends and/or family. They really should have a notice on the website when reserving a cabin that pets are not allowed in the cabins. Didn't know until we got there but was not taking my little dog back home. He stayed with us anyway:)
