Wonderful historical fun in the park with plenty to do. Different events during the year--including Christmas decorations and Halloween fun. Well with the time.

So much history. Loved the fact that the guides are in authentic uniform and spoke in the present as 1885 once we entered the house.

Taking a living history approach, the guides for the Custer home bring the past to life. We enjoyed developing a deeper understanding of Custer and his family and their life on the frontier. The home includes a few artifacts that belonged to the Custers themselves. The guides provide great context for the furnishings in the home both for the Custers and for all those stationed at the fort. Take the time to stop by!

Informative and good friendly tour guides that really get everyone involved. It is a recreation of the home with some original pieces that feels so genuine as if it was just yesterday they were there

Will take you back in time to another time in history.. Completely restored and just as the Custer family lived in it. Always good going to Historical places to do some homework. The guides are excellent and know their history but get into it more when people ask questions.

The house advertised on billboard and travel brochures does not exist. The house you will see is one that is down the street from where the actual house was. It burned down many years ago. The tour shows you a house "like" he lived in. What is really disappointing is there are no pictures of him or his family or even any of their furniture of personal items. It's just a house similar to what they lived in with artifacts from that era.

Really enjoyed going back to the late 1800's to see how a military general and his family lived. The home was very cool inside on a hot day and the antiques were kept in perfect shape! Dressed in Civil War costuming, the tour guides were great. Highly recommend this 1/2 hour tour within the Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park.

Although a reproduction, a beautiful home. Some items are from the Custer family. The history of the home and area is well worth the trip. There is nothing roped off or in glass cases which makes it different then other historical home tours we've been on.

I had no idea that it was possible to view General Custer's home where he lived at Fort Lincoln. Fort Lincoln was where he was stationed when he was dispatched to the Little Bighorn. The home is beautiful and way more fancy than you would expect on a military base in the 1800's. The interpreter, dressed in civil war uniform did a great job of making life at the fort come alive.

I would like to ask if anyone has taken a photo and capture an image. I was there this past summer. We were in the bed room area. I took some photos and capture a very intesrting photo.

the Custer house tour has so much to offer. There are so many artifacts that are actually Custer's and have survived ages.

We have been in many historical homes and this one was very interesting! The tour guide did a great job as well explaining it in the time period.

Custer house is worth seeing, while there take a look at the horse stables, block houses, nice fishing, camping, and more. Spend the day or the weekend. The camp ground over looks two rivers. Just minutes from Mandan, ND.
