I enjoy golfing this course since it is so uniqueApparently built during prohibition to allow golfers from both Canada and US to enjoy a round and a drink.Typical small prairie golf course. Oiled sand greens. Inexpensive. I think Sunday golf is free (2013). Clubhouse in US so beer and drinks are US priciing Even had Happy Hour wit h $1 off drinks.Stop in and say you teed off in Canada and landed up on the green in the US an hour later

This is the most interesting golf situation in North America, perhaps even the world! The course has the clubhouse in Portal,ND, but the majority of the course is in North Portal,SK. The ninth hole is interesting as it crosses the International border. No matter what you do,it takes over an hour to play this hole-- something for a par three! The clubhouse is basic, but be there when Rosie is in charge.She is so typically"American"!The major de traction is the oiled greens, but the fairways are Ok.
