I was lucky to arrive here with one of my friends. We ordered the JL Burger and the jalapeno fries and they were DELICIOUS. I have been to a lot of restaurants, but I just haven't had a hamburger like J Ls. It was also very affordable. If you are going for a date and are in a tight budget, this would be the place to go.

This is JL Beer's downtown location in Fargo. It's compact (less than thirty seats) but a warm and welcoming bar with a small open kitchen and big screens for live sports.We were all set to settle down on a seriously subzero evening with a couple of rounds of beer and some freshly made burgers. Sadly, it seems that even in 2013 (and in of the midwest's thriving university cities) JL Beers don't see fit to offer single vegetarian burger or entree. We left after one beer and won't be back to eat any time soon. A disappointment for us given the great beer selection, and a disappointment for our charming and helpful waitress when she realised dumb management are limiting her earning potential. So - great beers and reputedly great burgers, but with a veggie in our party we couldn't stay for food.
