Bonanzaville is a neat little place in West Fargo that was a wide variety of interesting historical buildings. My family really enjoyed walking through them all. They are not all just one type of building. Within each building, it is very cool to see the products, furniture, machinery, etc. that was a part of the history of this area. My daughter also really liked the old airplanes. Overall, it is a nice relaxing, peaceful and informative couple hours. We were also able to meet a past resident of one of the houses and she told us all about it. Very cool.

Very enjoyable. Take a walk back in time to the era of the beginning of settlements in the Red River Valley. Early Fargo buildings, businesses, and indoor displays. A great way to spend an afternoon walking the dirt streets of old time villages. Late 19th century era.

good atmosphere, fascinating displays, educational, family-oriented, they host interesting and fun family events. I've been there with family several times and we enjoy it every time including their festivals and so on. Definately make a day of it!

We visited on Friday, September 12, 2014. In the Fargo-Moorhead visitor's guide book (available for free at the F-M visitor's center) there is a coupon for 1 free admission when you purchase an admission. We we used the coupon and with senior discount the total fee for the two of us was $10.We were the only two people visiting this afternoon so we took our time in each building. This place is huge. It covers many acres. These pioneer building have been moved to this central location from all over North Dakota. There is sensory overload in some of the buildings. For example, the telephone building is bursting at the seams with every piece of telephone equipment, from operator stations with plug-in wires to a huge display of telephone pole glass insulators. Who knew there was this much stuff from early telephone days? The aircraft buildng was quite impressive, also. The antique farm machinery is in great abundance, too.I think you really need more than 3 hours to see everything and appreciate the place.

Attended Bonanza ville during their annual celebration. I see this attraction to be much more popular among the older crowd. Kids will not find it as entertaining. There are some things for kids, but overall they will get bored after too long.Lots of antiques for the adults as well as numerous old buildings, some restored and some not. If you are not into history, don't go.Food service was very limited, so don't count on a good selection. Entry fee seems a bit steep. Displays could use some updates and cleaning as the dust coming off the prairie settles in quickly. Lots of old cars and other farm equipment. Not the place I would go to every year but perhaps every 5 years as I don't imagine it changes much.restrooms available, but not a lot of them. If you really get into it, plan on at least 4 hours. If you are not into history all that much, you can do it in two hours.

We were in Fargo for 10 days. It is interesting and has good collection of old cars. It has a variety of museums laid out in a town setting. I would not call it a must see. If you love history and want something to do for a couple an hours this is a good option.

While not a true historical site it is a fun place to visit & has many old things to view- cars, Telephones, planes etc

I visited Bonanzaville back in 2007 and it was not looking so hot. Fast forward 7 years and I found myself visiting again, this time with my in-laws. We got a great deal using coupons from the Fargo-Moorhead Visitors brochure and instantly saw the improvements that had been made. Exhibits are being renovated and signage has been added. There is still a lot to improve upon, but this visit was much more enjoyable than the last.

This place was recommended to us, and we were glad that we visited. Lots of historical items and buildings, and well-worth stopping for those interested in learning about Fargo and North Dakota history.

Nice place to visit, no much going on when we were there.Had several of the employees explain so of the history. Some of the buildings were not open. I would recommend going on a weekend or find out when more things are going on, like pioneer days.

Very interesting glimpse into history of 1880-1920 living in Red River Valley. Wonderful collection of buildings and vehicles.

It is a great stop to walk through history. The children had a wonderful time exploring houses, planes, farm machinery and building of the past. They were so interested we stayed for a couple of hours and still did not see everything.

We had a couple of extra hours while in Fargo so opted to visit. Depending upon whether or not you have visited similar places it may be more interesting to some. There is a lot of cool things to see and interact with. Our favorite place was the telephone company museum. Our 9 year old was freaked out by the dial phones (from the 70's) and the much older ones that you had to ask the operator to connect you. There is a lot on display here and probably something for everyone.

Nice clean park with a lot of history, mostly local but very enjoyable. expect to spend 2-3 hours if you visit each building. Watch your head as you climb the stairs in the older homes, remember these were built by smaller people and for their use of that time.

I enjoyed seeing lots of antiques and remnants of times gone-by. It gave a feel for the history here.
