While a bit pricey, all 4 of the grandchildren had a fun time. The temperature is around 84 degrees indoors so you're not too cold when out of the water. We stayed 1 night which was enough for all. You can check in at 1 p.m. (although many rooms aren't ready until 4 p.m.); so all can enjoy the waterpark; checkout is at 10 a.m. and you can still use facilities all day. We opted to dine outside in the park - lots of restaurants within a 10 mile radius. Not too thrilled that the price doesn't include lockers ... luckily nothing was stolen. The older children enjoyed their "Quests" although you have to pay extra for this privilege. At least it was within 1-1/2 hours of home.

The great Wolf Lodge offers multi dining rooms a great gift shop the waterpark alone is worth the admission also they have animated bears and animals great place for kids and family

My family stayed there for two nights. My room was clean, but found previous guest's belongings in a drawer. I paid over $300 for each night. Their waterpark was awesome though. The pool water was right temperature and it offered so much fun for all ages. It was convenient that we could head to our room directly from the waterpark with swimsuits on. My kids also loved the MagiQuest. You will need to purchase a magic wand and a game to play the Magiquest. Almost all kids had magic wands and were playing the game. At night you will see many people wondering around with their pajamas on and playing games, too.Each room has a microwave and a mini refrigerator. Their restaurant foods are not cheap, so be prepare. My wife was very impressed with their Starbucks coffee and said they make best coffee.Although it is pricey, my family had a great time there, and we thank GWL for giving us such a wonderful memory.

What can I say about this place that hasn't already been said? Bottom line, it is way too expensive for the average family. All the little add-ons are wallet suckers, and the kids said they were not impressed any way. The better value is at Evergreen Aerospace Museum and Waterpark in McMinnville, Oregon. For about $100, a family of four can enjoy the whole day, combining education with terrific water fun. The water slides, wave pool, and other attractions are just as good as Great Wolf. Pack a picnic and take a break from the fun, there are plenty of picnic tables outdoors. Great Wolf Lodge is a rip off, and my family will never go back.

The rooms are way overpriced but include the use of the water park. I can accept that. But everything else costs a small fortune and not a single thing was worth the price. The kids best rating of things outside of the water park were "meh". Ok but not great. They weren't even excited about all the junk food. I've never seen a group of kids eat so little. It would be very difficult to put together a healthy meal here and the off site options weren't much better. We had no complaints about the room and the beds were actually more comfortable than most. The soundproofing in the rooms was actually quite good also. Despite this we will not be back. Definitely not worth the price. We spent less per day in Disneyland and had a much better time.

Bottom line, Great Wolf is loads of fun for the kids but enormously expensive costing around $4-500 /day if you use their restaurants. We really thought the staff was outwardly welcoming and helpful. Our problems came with the reservation hotline wrecking our reservation and the front office making mistakes on their data entry. To repair each issue required time to stand in a que to be helped. This trip though the line to see the front office happened 4 times. The final time did it for me and I had enough.Buffet Food is pretty good and they cater to Gluten Free like real pros. My advice is to bring your own food and beverage and skip the magic quest unless your child is REALLY drawn to that kind of thing. The volume of kids running around playing those games is very high. Younger kids will require the help of a parent and other kids are jumping all around...

We spent New Year’s Eve at Great Wolf this year. We thought it would be nice to get out of the rain for a couple of days and the kids love the water park. I knew that they had a special buffet dinner going on but I didn’t know that they also had a family-friendly party planned. It was a great surprise! In our room were New Year’s Eve tiaras, leis and noisemakers, plus sparkling cider and flutes for us to keep. We did have dinner at the NYE buffet and while the food was ok (the prime rib was actually very good) and the make your own ice cream sandwich bar was a huge hit with the kids, we definitely won’t be doing that again. Here’s why: they tacked on an automatic 18% gratuity to our bill – for a party of 5 at a BUFFET! All our server did was clear our plates! They had a separate cocktail waitress who brought the drinks (and who got her own tip when we closed out our tab). Not at all worth the extra cost. Fortunately, the NYE party made up for it. They had a kid’s activity room with balloon animals, facepainting, games and music. But the best part, especially for our 4 and 6 year olds, was the DJ dance party in the main lobby. First off, the DJ was great with kids. He was supposed to start at 8:30 but since he had a room full of kids jumping up and down at 8, he decided to kick things off early. He went over the rules with them (you must DANCE, you must HAVE FUN, etc – it was really cute) and reassured the parents that his dance tunes would be pretty clean. For the next hour or so it was mostly very young kids on the dance floor. We took our two youngest back to the room at 9 and I returned with our 6 year old about half an hour later. By then more older kids and adults had come out. The dance floor was packed, but it wasn’t rowdy or pushy. There was a bar in the lobby for the adults and also they were selling glow items (necklaces, staffs, swords, etc). My son loved the inflatables (dice and GWL balls) getting tossed around the crowd. He was determined to stay up till midnight when the giant nets hanging from the ceiling would open up and drop the balloons on the crowd. And he made it! He had such a blast catching balloons and stomping on the ones on the floor. The rest of our stay we did the usual: lots of time in the water and the two oldest boys playing magic quest and in the arcade. I did appreciate the staff in the magic quest shop talking me OUT of paying for a quest for my 4 year old – since he already had a wand, all they had to do was reactivate it (which is free) and he could get most of the stuff in the lobby and stairwells to work for him. He probably wouldn't have lasted through a 4-6 hour quest. I’ve reviewed Great Wolf before and commented on the cost – and over the holidays there are no discounts on the rooms – but I have to say, I don’t think I could have found a better NYE party for kids. Next year we’ll skip the buffet and just head right for the party.

My family stayed one recent Saturday night at the Great Wolf Lodge in conjunction with a wedding we attended at the lodge. It was definitely an expensive weekend, but we did enjoy our stay. Here is what we found: The wedding ceremony and reception took place in the adjacent convention center. We were impressed with all of the food at the buffet (the salmon was fresh and tasty), close proximity to the restrooms, and the facilities in general. Our room (a Family Suite) was spacious with a nice large seating area and balcony. We appreciated and used the small frig and microwave. I do wish the in-room coffee was better. The beds were comfy and we didn't experience any problems with noisy neighbors. The water park was a lot of fun even though it was crowded on the December weekend of our stay. The lines for the biggest tube slides took 10-15 minutes each time, but they were very fun and the staff did a relatively good job making sure everyone was safe. Keep in mind that you can start swimming at 1 p.m. on your check-in day (even before you get your room), and you can swim the following day until 9 p.m.! They do allow food and drink inside the water park, but it must be purchased there, so eat before you swim to save money. It is expensive. We avoided the restaurants and the onsite Starbucks (which has higher prices than stand-alone Starbucks) to save money, but plan to check out with a very light wallet if you visit the arcade, gift shop, and restaurants. I noticed a lot of people bringing in take out from local restaurants, which seemed like a good idea. All in all, I'm glad that we visited the Great Wolf Lodoge. We all had fun in the water park and the room was clean and had nice furnishings. But I'm not sure if we'll go back.

Terrible experience. Understaffed: Rude and exhausted and after asking what was going on their own reports of being "severely understaffed". Disgusting bathrooms, no towels, could not check in until almost 6pm with an expectation that we should know the check in PROCESS only starts at 4pm. I guess they were at 100% occupancy so that was their excuse for terrible service, angry customers and feeling like cattle in the entire establishment. Basketball area down both days. Talk about a huge disappointment for my 13 year olds birthday. I have been here before and had a great experience. NOT THIS TIME! Slow slide lines with 2 rafts for big rides (we observed others laying unused that were popped or "not inflated enough". So? Fix them! Rip off and a waste of a birthday and time traveled and money spent. Shame on you Great Wolf. My advice. Book at 75% and no more than you can handle so you don't disappoint families who have looked forward for this trip for months!!!

Waited over 20 minutes to check in, waited 30 minutes for towels at the pool, poorly trained staff that couldn't offer answers, rooms and halls run down, overall not a good value.

I wish I had reviewed what this place has to offer in detail prior to making the booking. We booked Great Wolf Lodge over Christmas thinking that it would be well worth the high price. But it wasn't. It was quite a let down when you pay almost 400/nt and then have to pay for *every* little thing there on out. Pool side lockers, $10. Checkout at 1pm vs 11am - yep, extra. Kid activities in the lodge, extra upto 89/pp. It's a serious rip off and it doesn't even provide a premium experience like you'd think a place at that price would. More over, the slides really aren't that great. For kids 6+, there's like 3 interesting slides, maybe 4. That's it. We'll never be back. Don't waste your money, find an alternative place to vacation.

First off, we were there to see our grandchildren staying at the hotel. Their room was nice and clean and big, the hotel presents a fun and happening atmosphere...for little kids up to 10 years old I would say. The kids enjoyed the water park but were ready to leave early the next day. There are snack bars and additional things to purchase; like the game that is all over the hotel!! If you have a child over 6, they are going to notice and want to participate. That is where the magic wand comes in...the Magic Quest package STARTS at $49.99 per person and can go up to $89.99 for a package with all kinds of extras...ice cream, creation-station animal, wand, tattoo, etc. So please keep in mind that your room cost DOES include the water park but that's just the beginning. And, as you can see by other reviewers, the food options are limited, but there are several fast food restaurants within walking distance. On the weekends there is a huge pajama dance party in the lobby...so much fun with the little ones! Enjoy your stay and don't forget to tip the hard working housekeepers!! ; )

First off, our family (2 kids ages 3 and 5) had fun staying here. There was plenty for the kids to do for 2 days and the water park was clean and well run.I just think you need to have realistic expectations. The "extra entertainment" was super low quality (I could've done better face painting myself...) but that's not what we went for and my small children still thought it was fine. The food is mediocre and *very* overpriced (just like any theme park), and I would definitely not want to eat in the resort for more than a day or two. At the least, I recommend bringing some fruit and yogurt or similar stuff to get some nutrients into your family.The entire hotel was clean and the rooms were fun (we had one of the rooms with the separate kid bunk area). The kids loved that and the convenience of the whole setup was great, where you don't have to carry keys around and that sort of thing. Go in expecting the whole experience to be a theme-park style one, which it is, and you'll be fine. :)

We are a family of 6 (children aged 11,12,15, and 18) visiting the Great Wold Lodge for the first time as a Christmas present to our kids. Positives:Families could ride together down 2 of the 6 slides on rafts.It was nice and warm in the park.Kids cabin room was clean and included a gas fireplace. Room was ready at 1 pmBreakfast prepaid meal was a fair value.Burger Claim is a good place to go (located in parking lot)Little kids would enjoy it.Negatives:Dinner Buffet is a rip off. Anyone over the age of 10 pays the $18.99 adult price and a drink is NOT included. Considering the cost, I would have expected the food to be better than what I can make at home. Instead, it was mostly gross processed cafeteria food. Food servers either didn't care if they got tipped or just expected one because they are servers... not exactly sure which it was, but NOBODY was busting their butt helping tables. As a former server, I am more than sympathetic to the job demands of a server. However, our drinks sat empty during all but 1 of the 4 times we dined. Considering most of our meals were buffet style...drinks and pre-busing is all that needed to be done it doesn't get much easier than that.The park is not as big as you think and quickly gets old. There is a total of 6 slides and for four of them you will stand in line a minimum of 10 min. for each one (it was not crowded when we went).It appears that the fewer people in the park, the slower the staff will move. Not very many rafts for the big slides were available to keep the line flowing. The other two are small single riders for all ages. Bring something to do if you plan to stay more than 1 night. (A book, cards, a board game, something...anything).TV in room is HD with analog channels. No guide available, you just have to flip through them one by one. Also, only one remote for the 2 TV's in our room so we had to go back and forth between our's and the kids TV. That was super annoying.All in all I desperately wanted this trip to be awesome. However, I have to honestly say we were all disappointed. Quite simply, there just wasn't enough and what little there was could not justify the cost. In the end, I wish I would have planned something else.

Dont ride the small slides at the great wolf their attend was bored looking and liked to turn the inner tube over quickly and dumping or bodly throwing guest out as quickly as he could. I would rather have waited for an inner tube. The rest of the park was fun but not many life guard were paying attention to thier jobs and were too busy getting towels and doing towel clean up. Plus having a bar in a place were there is water you can drown in is never good. Nevermind that it is not very family oriented watching or hearing a bunch of drunks yell at a tv screen when I am trying to enjoy Christmas with my family.
