the historic everett theatre

John Sebastian put on an entertaining concert but we were disappointed in the venue and one yahoo in the balcony behind us who wouldn't shut up.It didn't start off good when we arrived at about 6:40 only to learn that the opening act had to cancel. We had just spent more than an hour getting there from the U District. We were then directed upstairs to buy refreshments. That didn't work out either because the restaurant catering the food could not get their phone to work to accept our credit card. We then decided to go to the restaurant next door. I wrote a review on them that was not favorable.I was embarrassed for John Sebastian because of the continued yelling by a guy sitting behind us. A woman in the audience on the main floor decided to walk up to the stage to ask John to play a certain song for her. Some other guy was using his phone while John was talking. To his credit, he did ask the guy to put his phone away. I would suggest to the manager of the theater to announce before a concert to put cell phones away and to refrain from making a fool of yourself by yelling or approaching the artist while they are performing. This kind of boorish behavior really is a distraction to the rest of the audience.Sorry John. You deserved better.

I recently attended a musical here and was surprised at the excellent seating. This place is small, and the pitch of the seats is excellent so that the person in the seat in front of you does not interfere with your view. The seats are also very comfortable.Easy to get in and out of rows, well lit and not steep for older people.They also have wine for sale.Location easily accessible from I-5.

I like the venue. Very cozy and historic. They could serve a higher quality wine (please) but it's still reasonable and I love to support the arts.

The last remaining of the wonderful old theatres that used to be found in downtown Everett. Lots of live shows are offered in a very special atmosphere. If only they would have saved the spectacular historic marquee.

The Historic Everett Theater is a great place for live performances, unique films and sometimes unusual events. I love this place
