All ages come and go from this park. The day I visited there was a professional photog taking family pictures, baby strollers, lunch eaters, sun watchers.

When the sun is out, the energy of the people in and around Marina Park is uniquely invigorating. Here you will find street performers and break dancers in the gazebo.

Kids like to throw rocks into water, this place has all the rocks my kids desire. Great location from downtown Kirkland if you're walking around and want a break to look at the water and see if there are ducks. It can be somewhat busy on the hotter days, but I've only ever experience super crowded areas on holidays or festivals. My kids, once they've exhausted their rock throwing, like to ride bikes under the pavilion.

We love the Farmer's Markets, the concerts, the various city events. Great spot on the 4th of July and for the Wine and Art Festival!

I love the Marina Park for late afternoon walks or just sitting by the water watching the kids play. There are tons of restaurants around, tons of ducks in the water (which makes for very interesting play dates), parking nearby and a nice view.

Watch the people, watch the ducks, watch the boats, walk near the lake shore. A small fun-filled and friendly place.

A visit to Kirkland isn't complete without a stroll through Marina Park. On a clear day, the view across Lake Washington is a wonder, with Seattle as a backdrop. If timing is right, the lake sunset is incredible. Lots of locals walk their dog(s) in the park even though it isn't especially large. The town holds it's Farmers Market at Marina Park and also hosts a variety of fun opportunities like the Octoberfest that was held when I arrived. You might elect to take the tour boat that sails around the lake or just sit and people watch. The close proximity to downtown presents many food and drink opportunities and there is a large covered area for bands, etc. Do not hesitate to extend your visit with a short stroll to Heritage Park, just north of Marina. It is a beautiful area, has a walking trail and the best view of the lake and Seattle imaginable. There's also a free telescope that will take you up close to a Seattle feature like the Space Needle. Heritage Park is clean, safe and beautiful. Bring your lunch and eat at one of the picnic tables.

Marina Park is simple but beautiful. It is right on the water in Kirkland and is the site of the May-October Wednesday Farmer's Market (2-7pm). There are lots benches to sit, a few tables, and a rocky beach area where children wade in the water, skip rocks, and feed the ducks. It is right next to a large parking lot (free before 5pm) and walking distance to many restaurants and shops.

O local é muito relaxante, à beira das águas calmas do Lake Washington, com uma bela vista. Se o clima permite, crianças e cachorros invadem a área para brincar e correr atrás dos muitos patos que nadam à beira do lago
