Beautiful setting and friendly owner/staff. Great food. The prices are fair and not as high as you might expect.

What a beautiful place to eat dinner. Wonderful service, food is amazing and the environment is spectacular. This is a great place for special occasions , dinner date or family style dining. You can sit by the cozy fireplace or in the summer enjoy the beautiful views from the outside dining. A must go too.

Our family used to go to the Mansion for Sunday Brunch on special occasions and had a great time. Our last few visits were not so great. The food was pretty much the same which was average, but the service is not. They used to offer champagne with your Sunday brunch at a reasonable price but have changed it to be too expensive for what it is. Also they have limited the time you can stay which they have never done before. I can understand if they were really busy but not when there are multiple empty tables. The staff also changed and we found them to be not so friendly. Needless to say we haven't been back.

We're locals who occasionally frequent this restaurant. Service is wonderful and so is the owner. We enjoy the Wednesday night wine tasting with live music and have never had anything that wasn't absolutely wonderful. Great place if you're looking for atmosphere in a beautiful dining room or out on the patio.

A vestige of one of the old tycoons of the area, Rutherglen evokes a sense of what luxury must have been like when it was built. Unfortunately, the general atmosphere is disheveled and could use a good bit of organizing. They presented a tasty brunch buffet during which they ran out of biscuits. The maitre d' assured me that he would get some, but when I reminded him about 15 minutes later he told me there were none. A server assured me that he would bake some shortly. We were with a tour group and our guide was nice enough to inspect the plates and separate the clean ones from those that weren't quite clean before we passed through the serving line. Bathroom facilities were inadequate and dated. Table service was slow but courteous. All in all, it was a fairly unique experience and not entirely unpleasant, but I would hesitate to recommend it.

My friend and I were with a Discovery Tour last Sunday and stopped by for brunch on our way to see War Horse in Portland. It is very nice to lookout over the valley. The brunch and staff were outstanding. It was very clean. The prime rib was to die for, desserts were very good. The priceing of the food was included in our tour, so not sure how the prices are. It being a B&B also, I think it would nice to try some time.

Picturesque B & B overlooking Longview & Columbia River. Historic preservation work in progress. Unique dining experience, too.

Same Mansion but a complete makeover from Staff to floors. The Owner Reuben grendahl has seemed to clean house. The place is sparkling and All new employees makes for pleasant change. Wine tasting on Wednesday's has step up a beat with some delightful desserts and great music. We recently Stayed in the B&B there were 4 adults and two children. It's not a traditional B&B The Children were very welcomed ro be kids play a piano, look for a ghost or two and just look around a great big house. The bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept in. You are able to have complete privacy in a Beautiful Historical Mansion. In the past we have also had our young grandaughter's memorial reception here. More recently our young grandaughter's princess Birthday Party. Where her fariy tale came true.

The wait staff is uber friendly, the food delicious, and the event unusual. Give it a shot and share it with something special.

My wife and I plus friends attended this Wednesday tradition at the Mansion. The octogenerian Owner-Operator pretty much has an event six days a week at this restored mansion over looking a dump in the industrial zone of Longview. We were not at all sure of what to expect for our $40 and were not surprised when the evening turned out to be one of mediocre hors d'eurves and miscellaneous wine bottles scattered on an unattended table. There was a volunteer band funded by a tip jar that was pretty decent, but the real ugly part sadly was the attendees "dressed" in inappropriate, shabby clothes and getting "hammered." From Sunday brunches, Thursday Pasta nights, Friday Fish Nights, etc., this facility also contains a Bed & Breakfast and caters large and small events.
