garfield county museum

This museum is jammed full of artifacts from the Garfield County area. There is such a great diversity that there is something here for everyone's interests. The volunteers are extremely knowledgeable, friendly and eager to answer any questions. Good resources for genealogical research and they offer some detailed books on area history. This is a wonderful example of a old fashion, small town, American museum.

This is a small, but yet large unit in terms of all the artifacts. It is well displayed and a clean two story museum. It has a elevator, should one be needed, and is well lighted. The museum also has a tremendous amount of research & historical information and is staffed by experienced and qualified volunteers.
