This has always been a family tradition of ours to go to the Puyallup Fair. There are so many things to do for all ages. Rides , shows, animal and livestock petting and viewing. The Clydesdales are always fun to watch. and don't forget to buy a scone.

The Fair is always fun to attend as a visitor or to volunteer at one of the booths for organizations such as Audubon and outdoor life clubs. You won't go hungry even if you promised yourself you would have only one (or two) scone(s) in addition to the burger, fries and ice cream that you always buy. It is the best place for people watching, even better than the mall. There are lots of crafts, gardening, fine art and endless other exhibits to inspire you to start a project as soon as you get home. You don't have to spend a lot of money to fill your day. If admission price is a big bite out of your budget, bring some munchies and have a great time away from the sales folks (who are good for people watching, too).

Large packed expensive fair with too many merchandise vendors. Make sure you bring plenty of cash to buy some happiness.

Tons of family fun. This is one event that my family and friends look forward to doing every year and it never get boring,The concerts that they have are first rate, the food out of this world...It's also nice that they have a day that you can buy a bracelet that cover most of the rides in the park, the kids can ride their favorite rides over and over with out emptying yu wallet. There not much to dislike about the Puyallup, maybe the traffic getting in to town but you Park at the Puyallup Mall, they will shuttle you down to the fair and back up.

This fair has everything. Food, exhibits, rides, concerts, clowns, entertainers, art, crafts, animals, competition, education, and don't forget those who want to sell you something. My personal favorites are the Draft Horse demo, the newborn piglets, the home made crafts, the hobby hall, the kids art, the photography... And to eat? I always get a soft ice cream cone in the parlor where you can watch a cow get milked. It is the best ice-cream anywhere! The Fair Burgers are famous too. If you aren't from Puyallup you can get gouged on the price of parking. If you don't mind walking a few extra blocks you can always find FREE parking on the streets (mostly north west of the fairground) I usually park somewhere near the Nazarene Church on 7th Ave SW. (10 blocks from the fair) And ... if you come on the Friday that it opens, you get in free before noon!

Fun - for a fair. Expensive. I wish they would take all the hot tubs & cars out of the fairgrounds & add maybe... ANIMALS. Seems weird to me to pay for admission to a hot tub sale. Need more animals to view!!!

We were visiting family in Puyallup, and they made a point of telling us that we couldn't miss the annual fair. It didn't disappoint. We had kids in our group who went on rides and played the games, so it was a bit pricey, but I didn't think it was over-priced compared to other county or state fairs I've been to. I loved the plant and flower displays. There was a good assortment of standard fair food and various ethnic offerings. The parking and traffic around the fairgrounds was pretty ridiculous; we got lucky and found street parking in the surrounding neighborhood. All in all, it was very enjoyable and I hope I'm back there again next fall for the fair!

I have lived in Puyallup my entire life and the going to the Fair has been a yearly tradition for as long as I can remember. The Fair has definitely evolved over the years, and some people may feel as the Fair is losing its traditional farming values and heading more towards a modern commercial feel. I would have to disagree. There are many hidden 'secrets' or treasures at the Fair that many people seem to overlook. To start off, the Washington State Fair is NOT state owned. It is a private, non-profit organization that focuses on education, family, and fun. You can expect to find many educational opportunities, games, rides, and great food during any of the 17 days that the Fair is running. The food prices may be expensive, but you will find that at any concert, sports event, etc that you'll attend. When compared to other similar events the prices are not unreasonable. Yes, the Fair is crowded but that just adds to the atmosphere. There are variety of rides, vendors, bars, games, and attractions that in my opinions appeal to all sorts of people. Among the paid attractions there are also a bundle of free attractions and exhibits that the typical fairgoer can enjoy. I personally love going through the barns, petting zoo and planting patch. There are always a variety of different animals to look at. I have been to the Fair every year since 1994 and I will continue that tradition for the rest of my life. If you have not visited the Fair I strongly suggest that you give it shot. I promise it won't disappoint you!

The fair is old and the food is expensive and not good. It is the same every year. there are MANY vendors that sell things at 3 times the normal price. Save your money!!

Been a while since we've been to this fair. It was fun but I do believe they need to keep tabs on pricing. Some stuff was way overpriced. And while the volunteers do a great job, some seemed out of place and frustrated by their work. We may go back next year but only if they take a look at pricing. It's fun but I have to say the smaller town fairs are a lot more fun and reasonably priced.

The fair time of year is always the best by far. It gets crowded yes but even that doesn't stop it from being a great family day had by myself and my family. We can't wait for next year, thanks for a wonderful fair season.

The Fair is a great place to spend a day (or two if you really want to experience it all.) There is something for everyone; Animals, Exhibits, Rides; Games; Vendors' Antiques and Collectibles; Concerts and Food. The complex is large, however they have a Sky Ride and a Train to transport people across the Fairgrounds.

The weather cooperated this year for a trip to the fair, however the traditional fair sights are getting harder to find and they are being replaced with more and more commercial vendors...We enjoyed the fair burgers at Myers and of course the scones were very good again this year.

Great show. Hope they book him again for more than one evening. Unable to walk around much so really enjoyed the little free tram type thing. We did two rounds around the fair. Nice.
