This is a old restored grist mill. They give a free tour. You can give a donation for freshly ground corn meal and flour.

Beautiful setting and some history to boot. I believe the mill is only open on weekends, but you can arrange a group tour for another time. Volunteers are responsible for upkeep and tours and are extremely knowledgeable. Even if the mill is not open, you can walk around and peek in the windows. Be sure to bring your camera as the setting is gorgeous.

Nice drive to get there from the I-5. Impressive setting adjacent to a covered bridge and swift flowing water in a forest with big, beautiful trees. In the grist mill, I saw docents making flour and cornmeal and was able to take some home at no charge. One extremely knowledgeable "Friend of the Grist Mill" gave those present and explanation of the grist mill's history, personalities, and how it works. He took us to a platform where we could see a flume that brings water to the mill. It was near the fast flowing river where we could see salmon that were going upriver. Inside the mill building itself, an explanation was given on the use of all the different machinery. A cider press is on site that produces cider occasionally. The covered bridge adjacent to the mill and over the river was a great spot to hang out under to stay dry when it rained while experiencing the beautiful environs. Great atmosphere in the middle of a natural setting.

Didn't get to go when they were open, plan to return for a tour. So beautiful. Easy little walk by the river. GREAT photo opportunities.

Nice place in a forest environment. But not a place for a long hike. Easy to find and a good place to stop during the scenic route

Drove to mill on recommendation of local AAA agent. Mill and covered bridge make excellent photographs. Spring next to Mill and mossy trees make for great pictures.Lovely place to visit, great pictures.

A fun and historic place to visit. Arriving on the weekends allows a visit to the Grist mill actually in operation. Check hours before visiting as it is quite limited. Right next to the Grist mill is the only covered bridge in Clark County.

An old grist mill, authentically reconstructed, this is a real slice of pioneer history. Unfortunately, the day we were there it was crammed with tourists like us and it was difficult to hear all of the docent's presentation. His constant references to ways we could make donations wore thin real fast. The mill is beyond a doubt authentic and the surrounding area including a nearby covered bridge is a beautiful example of Pacific Northwest heritage and scenery. Well worth a visit.

We were there on a day where it was not in operation. We like to take pictures and it was perfect without a crowd. It looks like it would be fun and educational if you went when it was in operation. (weekends) I do recommend you go to see it.

While visiting from Minnesota, I visited the Cedar Creek Grist Mill with four children ages 5 thru 9 and we all had a great time. The kids were allowed to watch up close as the flour was made, and got to feel the grains and flour. The volunteers were very informative and friendly. Both myself and the kids had a fun time watching, learning, and exploring inside and outside of the mill. And a bonus was getting to bring home a couple bags of the flour! There is NO fee to get in, they rely on donations instead to keep the mill open and running.

We drove to the mill to see it on a recent trip to Vancouver WA and had a nice time checking it out. The mossy trees and area make it all the better. THey have tours at limited times, and we missed the tour, but we still enjoyed the scenery. Would love to go back and get the tour Great place to take pictures, and only 20-25mins outside vancouver.

One of the most amazing places to be during the Fall for photography, viewing nature or enjoying the colors of Autumn is the Cedar Creek Grist Mill in Woodland, WA...........This is a "Must See" destination for everyone who loves nature and history..........!

We have heard about the Grist Mill for years but it never really sounded that interesting. We were wrong! It is a beautifully restored and operational mill with freshly ground flour you can bring home with you. The drive there is stunning, even in the rain, and the setting around the mill is gorgeous. I don't think you can take a bad picture in this place. It's also a great spot for senior portraits, wedding photos, etc. The mill has events throughout the summer and fall. I plan to return often.

The Grist Mill is well worth the hour it takes to get there from Portland. While only open for a few hours on the weekends, the facility has been lovingly restored and the volunteers are full of wonderful information about the mill. And a nice surprise is that they mill flour while you're there and you get to take a bag home with you! Make sure you walk all around the mill, inside and out, as well as crossing the river and walking up the path, so you can see the mill from a better angle. The mill is run by an all-volunteer organization that depends on donations to keep it running, so be sure to leave a donation before leaving, especially since you will have received a nice bag of freshly-milled flour! :)
