I live within walking distance of this attraction and feel it is one of the true natural gems of Clark County Washington. There might be other natural areas on our county that are just as beautiful, or even more so, but if you factor in accessibility, this attraction is hard to beat. There is a trail which will take you on a gentle 2.5 mile hike/walk downstream to Lucia Falls Park. This is a stroller, wheelchair, mountain bike, accessible trail. It is wide, flat, and well groomed/maintained. About a 1/4 mile south, or so, is the Bells Mountain trail head, which connects you to a bit more rugged 20+ mile trail system. There is a huge swimming hole and the area is very popular on hot summer days. Parking can be a challenge on these days so consider showing up early if you plan on visiting to beat the heat. This park is used 365 days a year, regardless of weather. No matter what, someone will show up, even if there is a foot of snow on the ground. It is truly a gem of the county and should be treated as such. People being what they are, often leave their trash laying around. Please lead by example and dispose of your trash properly, and if you are so inclined, pick up a piece or two while you are there.

We were staying in Battle Ground for a family gathering. While there isn't a lot to do in that area, scenic drives abound. And the East Fork of the Lewis River is pristine and picturesque, especially the many falls (smallish) with salmon and steelhead fighting their way upstream. This count park is the best access point, with trails and picnic facilities along the river. There also several small wineries in the area for another diversion.

This place was very pretty, I wish I could have had time to take a hike. But I only got to do a little walk around.

The hikes aren't difficult and the waterfalls are great to look at. It's a great place to bring a picnic too.
