We loved the wagon....I did not think I could get my wife to slide down the handle. It was the highlight of our day....

It was fun and interesting since the restaurant is built in an old steam plant. It is a lively place and very family oriented. Good food too.

We have eaten here four different times and have really wanted to like this restaurant. The setting is amazing and the atmosphere, though loud, is very interesting. Unfortunately, the food is not. We have not had a good meal here. The best meal has been average with the other meals being, not quite awful, but close. We have found many wonderful restaurants in Spokane, but this is not one of them.

We found a public parking lot beside the restaurant . The restaurant reimburses you 10.00 off your bill for the parking fee. Entry to the building is thru a small mall of shops and just a short walk from the parking, but not handicap friendly. There is a small lot off the alley by the front door for handicap access. The service was ok, our server was casually slow and not really very warm. We enjoyed the ambiance of the interior and our cocktails were good. We had an order of Steamplant Calamari it was just ok .The menu was limited and we were unsure of our choices because of the descriptions of the sides.and there were no specials. I settled for the Prawn skewers with garlic lemon accents, and it came with wild rice and I liked it. My husband had the Pork Osso Bucco which came with gnocchi which he said the pork was good but he didn't care for the gnocchi and the roasted vegetables were undercooked . It was a good time but we would not choose to come back for anything on this menu again. Maybe in a year or so we might try it again

this place once served as the steam plant for heating the heart of the downtown area. It's now a great restaurant with good food and great service. Check out the bar downstairs, as they brew their own beer. Try the jalapeño ale with the nachos!

The atmosphere is great, as this restaurant is built literally inside an old steam plant. You can look up into the towers and some parts of the building have been preserved. The restaurant has good food, and is enjoyable... but the bar is even better. I highly suggest going during happy hour (all day Sunday and during certain hours during the week) and sitting in the bar. They have a great beer selection and half priced appetizers, which are great!

I would return for the bar with out-of-town guests looking for a unique setting but would grab dinner elsewhere. Everything was so-so, including their beer cheese soup that's a signature. I'd opt for McDuff's beer/cheese soup in Sandpoint any day. The salads were good but again average. We tried the Trout Deviled Eggs (comes with only 3) but I wouldn't order again...the deviled eggs at The Wandering Table are far better. I love the history and architecture of these old buildings downtown so come here for the experience and unique set up of the Steam Plant but don't expect gourmet or greatness. Their bar area serves the same food though if you want to sample something.

Great bar atmosphere, nice shops and don't forget to go into the actual old smoke stack and look up! This is a city landmark and can be seen for blocks when your in downtown Spokane.

Waitress and beer really good. The one entree was very good but the Salad for a main was lacking. Waitress understood the issue and offered more toppings. This made a big difference. Management needs to listen to their staffs feed back. After all who is hearing what the customer thinks??

The Steam Plant Brewery and Restaurant is evidence that with planning and passion you can renovate a remarkable structure that served its city so well in the past transforming it into a treasure serving people again today in a fresh and tasty way. Go!

The setting is a partially deconstructed steam plant, which they've changed spaces to accommodate several businesses. Very unique!

Excellent service. Try the pork chop I had a bite of my ex-husbands and it was yuuuuummie! That's what I'll have next time.

I liked checking out all the old steam plant machinery stuff, it's very cool. There aren't a ton of places here to choose from but they all have that cool steampunk vibe.

We had a great meal there. The service was very attentive, the beer was very good recommend the huckleberry ale. The decor it that of the original steam plant so it was industrial but tasteful. Will be back

This steam plant was operational from early 1900's to 1986, at which time it was shut down and fell into disrepair until it was gutted and revitalized into a fascinating building containing restaurants, bars and the machinery. It's rare to see first hand the foresight that goes into a lengthy and perhaps costly preservation and renovation. Much of the original machinery is on display with cut-outs the likes of which you won't find outside a science museum. You can even go into and gaze up one of two 250 foot tall steam stacks, or eat in a restaurant called - what else? - Stacks.
