This symphony is a diamond in the rough (always world class), as is the chorale and the Fox Theater! This concert was phenomenal to celebrate 2014 & welcome 2015...I highly recommend the tradition for your 2016 New Year's Eve and First Night Spokane!

Spokane Symphony performed Bethoven's 9th symphony, and what a great show it was - impecable in its quality and uplifting right before the start of the New Year. I was so happy to see full house and families with kids listening to real music. Thank you Spokane Symphony!

Sitting on stage watching the musicians up close and personal is a real treat and I highly reccomend it.

We recently attended the Symphony's "Symphony with a Splash" concert, which was a pretty refreshing experience. Doors open at 5, catered dinner from Beacon Hill Catering available, as well as wine, beer and cocktails, reasonably priced. A nice social hour with a duo providing some fun background music (bluegrass, jazz, etc.) and the concert--only an hour or so long--started at 8. The concert selections were not what you'd typically hear at a 'formal' symphony concert--the (great) conductor explained the pieces and why they were influential in their times, and we enjoyed all of them. We'll definitely do this again. And the Fox Theater (Well, properly known as the Martin Woldson Theater) is an art deco gem that no one should miss.

Wonderful artists performing as good as it gets anywhere one might travel. The Spokane Symphony can be rated with the very best!

Spokane is fortunate to have a big league symphony in our smaller big city. This is an excellent assemblage of musicians led by the skilled and always entertaining Eckert. You must go even if you are not a huge symphony fan.

The Spokane Symphony is among the best I've ever heard! I think the musicianship is unsurpassed and the music director as well as the associate director are wonderful! I've attended The San Francisco Symphony and The Louisville Symphony many times and I feel the Spokane Symphony is on equal par.

I didnt expect the high cost of everything connected with this. It is beautifull and well maintained, but not a visit I will repeat.

A Symphony Orchestra of this caliber would be expected in a city much larger than Spokane. This amazing orchestra is a real gem in the city of Spokane. When you visit be sure to find out if there is a concert, classical or pops and get a ticket. There are usually two or more concerts per month, AND the performances are in the gorgeous, art deco Martin Woldson Theater at the FOX with the outstanding acoustics. I have had season tickets for 40 years and have only been disappointed in a performance once or twice….about 20 years ago. The current Music Director and Assistant Music Director are simply SUPERB as is the Orchestra under their direction!!

The Spokane Nutcracker performance was enjoyable and in a lovely theatre. Three generations loved every second. A place to visit, and every seat gave a wonderful view of the performance.

A wonderful night of classical music. This symphony has worked hard to earn a top-notch rank throughout the west coast and is truly a concert you don't want to miss.

Went to a concert at the Arbor Crest winery! Sat in the grass with snacks and wine. The music was fantastic and the atmosphere was too!

I hope the musicians will be treated like they deserve..they are incredible. The music is masterful and the guest artists are the best! Playing at the Fox venue is spectacular and the community really supports those musicians. We just wish they could all have BIG salaries!

I've been to see the Spokane Symphony in Auditoriums, Concert Halls, Arenas, Opera Houses, Theatres and several places outdoors in two states. It takes alot of time and hard work (not to mention being very gifted) to play effectively or you wouldn't last for so many years, now would you??? So, if you think you're some "hotshot" because you don't want to put in all the hours it takes to learn several complicated pieces of music note for note and rest for rest and not "tune up or "tune down" to customize your very short-ranged "macho" voice, don't think twice - it might turn you psychotic. The conductor of the Spokane Symphony and all of the other very gifted member musicians who make up this above-said Symphony rocks me to my very core and reminds me that I'm very "glad" I got back on the bike regarding long hours of hard but rewarding practice and work. I certainly hope people will never get too bored of the types of music that never go out of style!
