Max is a local treasure here and one visit to his gallery will tell you why...you won't be able to keep a smile off your face! His fun and colorful works are both entertaining and also offer a nod to our culture through printed pop-ephemera that he incorporates in to his paintings. If you catch him during your visit, ask him to make you a Vietnamese coffee!

I did not believe I was an artist.....but was appreciative of the arts, Then I took the acrylic painting class with Max at his wonderful gallery just behind Sideshow Variety at 630 Water St. This class has been a revelation.........not just about my own (hidden) artistic ability, but about all those in the class who are clearly flourishing in their artistic process.And the gallery is a dream!!!!!! Fishboy has a show right now........it has to be seen to be believed!!Take your children or grandchildren.........enjoy!!
