This was my first visit to MOHAI since it relocated and I was seriously impressed. The level of interactive interpretation is phenomenal, and equally suited to kids and adults alike. History is presented in a fun and creative way, and the museum's focus on current and future innovations really stretches the imagination. What a great afternoon - and I will be back.

Attended a non-profit gala here on a Saturday night. The space worked quite well for the max of 350 people they can accommodate. Building is open on the inside, so that seated in the middle we could see the 3 stories up to the high ceiling. After the event we were able to walk through the galleries, which were very well done. Interactive and fun - but I need to allow more time. We'll be back.

We happen to visit for this special exhibit of Greek's in Seattle. The Museum is small but has some great interactive exhibits of Seattle in it's early days. It is worth going and plan at least 2hrs. The cafe is a little bland in it's atmosphere but the .food was nice.

We stopped in here by accident --- wasn't on our schedule --- and I am not sure why not.The first floor is about innovation and creating new ideas. Very kid friendly. The second floor is a timeline of SEATTLEs history --- I would have spent more time on this floor but was able to cover it in about 2 hrs. Unfortunately we didn't arrive til 3 and closed at 5. Second floor is set up wonderfully --- and the amount of displays that are uniquely SEATTLE are wonderful. Lots of reading -- more like a traditional museum. Will be back. The building is an old Navy facility and quiet wonderful to tour in. Parking easy. Fun duck pond outside and they float small boats outside in the circle pool - super fun.

Much of the old exhibit material is there, and the space is beautiful, but it felt more like it was oriented toward catered events than a museum. the gift shop was tiny. The great periscope is there with a better view, but i felt like they would have added much more material in moving to the new space.

The name does not adequately describe this museum, it could be called "The Entire History, Present and Future of Seattle Museum". Very well designed museum in a beautifully restored 1940's building right on Lake Union. Comprehensive historic exhibits and little known facts. Easily accessible (no road construction headaches) and ample parking. Will be going back to this one next visit!

We are members and like to take guests especially if it is raining. They change things around often enough that you can go each season and see something new.

My husband and I enjoyed hours at this museum. Having spent decades in Alaska, it was most interesting to tie the history and cultures together. Excellent displays and narratives make the visit very meaningful. Highly recommended for museum fans.

This is truly a gem located at the south end of Lake Union. Fun Seattle facts in an uncluttered open space. The rotating exhibits are exceptional and the Seattle video is a hoot.

We were interested in seeing the "bigger and better" Museum of History and Industry when it moved to its new location on Lake Union. While it may be bigger, not sure it's better. Seems like there are "more signs" explaining things, than actual items or memorabilia. If you drive you have to park about 1/3 to 1/2 mile away and hope there is a parking spot in the lot (you pay but you get a reduced rate with your museum ticket) - it can be a bit of a slog if it's rainyand windy. Would I go there again, probably not. If I were a first timer in Seattle it may provide you with some historical context for our City.

This museum opened up the eyes of this Seattle visitor! And in a way much more interactive than just reading facts on Wikipedia. It's a fair (but enjoyable) walk from downtown and its setting is lovely. There's lots to learn about Seattle's First Nation population, the arrival of settlers, growth and social change. The South Park-reminiscent retelling of the Seattle fire is almost worth the price of admission itself! Hilarious. I would've liked more emphasis on the First Nation history and the history of multiculturalism. Particularly interesting was the friendship between Chief Seattle and the first settlers - but part of the story was missing - how and why were the First Nation people relocated to reservations?

I am a member and always love taking my grandkids there, they have a blast and I have fun too. The best was holding my grandson's birthday there. We had the dinosaur theme and the activities they provided were so great for the kids, they a wonderful time and the service was wonderful.

We went here because it was raining in Seattle (surprise, surprise) and ended up staying for over two hours. This is a great place to learn the history of Seattle, the contributions of the unsung heroes and the growing pains and gains. We can't wait to go back. Never boring.
