Kids had a great time here. I think this is where they went into the butterfly room. It was relaxing, because they just stood still waiting for them to land.

The BBG is located on several acres of winding trails through a wide variety of different kinds of plants and garden designs. While it is truly a delight in bloom during the spring and early summer, any time of year this is a great place for a stroll. It is especially great if you have kids and want to burn up some energy. The kids can run and race, you can stroll and enjoy the flowers or just the woodsy atmosphere. They put on a beautiful light show during the holiday season(tickets required, purchase online STRONGLY RECOMMENDED). A local gem for either tourists or residents!

The Park is a public private partnership and includes many Northwest native plants, an outstanding Perennial collection, a large Rhododendron collection and also focuses on waterwise gardening. During the Holiday Season they present a spectacular and very popular Garden de'Lights show in the evenings from Thanksgiving to New Years. The Garden is definitely worth an extra effort to see it any time of the year. Great Bookstore and classes offered.

The holiday lights exhibition around the Christmas holidays is not to br missed. Each year seems more spectacular than the previous. A great evening for families. Adults will be enthralled and the children mesmerized. Check with the city website for free and reduced admission times.

The BBG is a great place to get off and then on the beaten path for a relaxing beautiful walk in the woods. The garden is very accessible; find it on the Lake to Lake trail if you're out for a bit of exercise or pull into the parking lot on Main Street and enjoy Mother Nature's bounty. The flowers, trees and shrubs are plentiful and diverse, showing off the wonders of our Pacific Northwest - there is even a Japanese garden to enjoy and sit and contemplate your next steps. Don't forget to find the new bridge installed a year or two ago, it is a welcome addition and provides another view of the gardens.Best of all, if you're in town during the Christmas holiday - the place is lit up fantastically using a gazillion lights to form all kinds of fantastic flowers, plants and animals - even fish and frogs. Well worth the visit - and it will only consume 30 minutes or so of your time - an easy stroll and well worth the visit.

If you want to give your children or your grandchildren a Christmas memory they will never forget, take them to see the lights at Christmas.

Very nice garden, great trails...I hiked to down to Mercer Slough and the Wilburton Trestle, the other time, I walked a mile or so towards Lake Sammamish. The Ravine is awesome. Will be great when the flowers start to bloom.

We walked the whole place in about an hour - it's very nice. The store & cafe weren't open, so not sure about them. We walked here from our hotel, Hampton Inn & Suites.

This is a great place to take a walk on a lovely day. My husband and I used to go here when we had a bit of kid-free time and stroll. The holiday lights in December are a treat my family misses now that we've moved away,Just note that this isn't a great place for seniors with unsteady footing. My grandmother loved to visit the entrance, but couldn't make the walk through.

Bellevue botanical garden in dead winter isn't the most exciting place. Would recommend it for parents with young kids, as a summer weekend treat. You have garden, woodlands and wetlands all in one place. They have small trails which are ideal for young kids. Also the Garden De' Lights show is nice.

You might wonder what there is to see at a botanical garden in the dead of winter. But, during December, scores of volunteers take the hibernating landscape and turn the area into a wonderland of twinkling lights. Admittedly cold at night, this outdoor event allows you to walk among lit gardens of corn, grapes, butterflies, water falls, and flowers - all produced by holiday twinkling lights. With the holiday music playing in the background, it definitely puts you in the holiday spirit. Overall, it takes 30-45 minutes to walk the grounds. Then, you have the option of warming up over hot chocolate or apple cider. Affordable entertainment.

Great place to get out and see the beauty of a northwest garden. Even on a rainy day! Great walking trails with occasional deer. The Christmas lights were outstanding. Cant wait to come back in the spring/summer.

We've been meaning to do this show for years and finally got around to it. We were quite impressed with how such a small property could put on such a delightful (to borrow and respell their title) show. Went on a very cold night but the show was worth it. Would also like to give a shout out to the volunteers there for being very helpful.

Garden d'Lights is a must see. I thought there were less lights than in previous years. However, the lights are intricate and fascinating. One section was of a vegetable garden with planting bench and flowers, quite darling. The paths were easy to navigate, and handled the crowded evening. The large heated tent, where you could buy cider or hot chocolate, was very welcome on a cold night. A definite stop on your Holiday list.
