Took the 100 mile ride up to Lancaster Speedway last month. We expected it to be just another dirt track. But we were dead wrong. The racing, atmosphere, and organized method of putting on a great show and still maintaing a very high level of competition was amazing to us. We now bypass our local dirt track thats only 10 miles away from home and we head to Lancaster for great racing. The food was very fairly priced, and very good. The lines were always very short and moved along in a very timely manner. This track is the "Bristol" of dirt tracks.

We have lived in Lancaster all our lives. Always on Saturday night, we would head out to the fastest 1/2 mile dirt track, on this side of the Mississippi!

This is your typical 1/4 mile dirt track with wooden bleachers. But then the NASCAR drivers got to get their start somewhere and places like this do that.

out of all the dirt tracks I have visited I am forever devoted to LSS. They allow you to park on the inside so you are able to watch the race from the top of the hauler & not get completely dusted out. The concession foods could use a little beefing up but for race track food you can't complain. I'd choose this dirt over asphalt anyday.
