Beautiful old bridge going over the Congaree River! The lanes are narrow but certainly safe enough. The old lamps glowing at night certainly contribute to it's appeal. A true classic!

This bridge is narrow for 4 lanes and I always hug the curb in my car as I fear being side swiped. A beautiful old bridge over the Congaree River and easy to see over the low structure. The yellow lamps at night give the area a romantic pleasant atmosphere. A beautiful site to visit.

Very nice bridge spanning the Congaree River. It is the oldest bridge going over the river. Built in the 1920's, it is listed on the National Historic Registry. The arches have a nice classic look to them. The lights at night give an impressive look. To really appreciate the beauty of the bridge, one must walk under it. I suggest the West Columbia side. Looking up at this bridge is quite a site. The construction is excellent and has a nice historic look to it. Nice to sit on a bench and admired the craftsmanship on a time gone by.
