Thank you for visiting the museum! I'm sorry some of the displays were not for you. Because of the import of the scene being depicted on Air Force One following the assassination of John F. Kennedy, we felt it should be included in our museum and that it should be portrayed as accurately as possible. Our audio narration for some of the displays are longer in order to give the visitors who enjoy history their money's worth and provide those who might not be familiar with the scene depicted a vivid account of the history being portrayed. Thank you again for stopping by The National Presidential Wax Museum.

Thank you for visiting The National Presidential Wax Museum. I am sorry you were disappointed by your visit. Our audio narration script was created by a group of seven historians from differing political and historical perspectives. We did this in hopes of creating as un-biased of a historical presentation as possible. It is worth noting that the artist who created our wax figures, Katherine Stubergh, was considered the best wax artist in the United States before her death. Her work has been featured in Gone With the Wind, House of Wax, and many other movies.Thank you again for visiting! I hope you enjoy your subsequent travels and attractions!

Thank you so much for taking the time to come check out The National Presidential Wax Museum! I'm so glad you like the displays! Katherine Stubergh Keller really was a pretty incredible woman and the absolute best at her craft. I wish I had the opportunity to meet she and her husband! We are in the midst of some new, exciting improvements for the 2015 season, so make sure you come check it out this summer! Thanks again!Clay KingGeneral ManagerThe National Presidential Wax Museum

Thank you for visiting the museum! While I wish we could offer free admission, in order to carry forth the rare art of waxworks, we must charge admission, as each wax figures costs nearly $20,000 to be commissioned. I'm glad you enjoyed the information on the tour. We are currently working to have more interactive and engaging activities geared toward younger children. Thanks again for visiting!

The National Presidential Wax Museum was reasonably priced and WONDERFUL. Each of the presidents is portrayed in wax in different scenarios...you are given a listening wand and are able to hear about each president as you go through the museum. You are not rushed in this museum...you can go at your own pace. It is really a "must see" when you go to the Mt. Rushmore area. I'm sooooooo glad we stopped to see this museum...it was one of the highlights of our trip to Mt. Rushmore.

I spotted this after seeing Mt. Rushmore and just dropped in. Great audio tour ($10) and very educational.

The time and effort put into each person in this museum is pretty remarkable. Really enjoyed it. Felt like you were there with each President.

From the first exhibit I had concerns on the perspective slant that was displayed. That wasn't the only one the made me shake my head. Many of the figures looked nothing like who they were supposed to - George Bush, Jackie Kennedy among others were just horrendous. I did learn some interesting facts about earlier presidents. Would not recommend this place to anyone.

Thank you so much for visiting the National Presidential Wax Museum. The 911 display is definitely one of our favorites because it's so powerful and tells a story that words cannot. We're working hard to add new and unique displays like it in the upcoming years, so make sure to check back with us if you find yourself in the Black Hills again!Happy travels!Clay KingGeneral Manager The National Presidential Wax Museum

The wax museum did a nice job - it was clean and the self guided wands worked well. The wax figures were very lifelike, they almost looked real. My 12 and 10 year old did ok with the tour, they got a little bored towards the end. It took us about 1.5 hours to go through the exhibit.

The museum used wands to provide a selfguiding tour. It was long and the wax figures were average. All in all it was informative but dull

This place has a few amazing scenes set up including President Bush addressing the workers at Ground Zero and LBJ being sworn in on Air Force One.

This wax museum has a very nice audio tour that you access at your own pace via hand-held speakers. It was nicely arranged with period vignettes, and the audio information was interesting and presented a lot of history. As is always the case, some of the figures uncannily resembled the presidents while others were a bit of a stretch. The gift shop has many unique items.

We would not have come here if we didn't have a deal from the KOA that we stayed at. Was pleasantly surprised at how well it was done. Even my teen boys enjoyed it. The only negative was that there wasn't enough to read. Al the information was on the audio tour which was very well done but some were very long to listen to.
