This is our normal stop on the way to the Outer Banks. It is a neatly organized market and they let your beach-bound dog wander through the market, too. Not only do they sell fruits, veggies and the expected jams, jellies, relishes and dressings -- lots of which are available for tasting -- they also have ice-cream (and milk, if there is room in your cooler), fudge and a great variety of freshly made cakes, pies and breads. We bought peaches, tomatoes, a Vidalia Onion Summer Tomato Dressing, a loaf of cinnamon-raisin-pecan bread (for breakfasts at the beach) and a key lime pie (cheaper than buying desserts in a restaurant).

These folks have the best selection of fresh fruits and veggies in season, plus baked goods and other treats. Don't be in such a hurry to get to the beach! You'll be glad you stopped to fill the fridge in that beach house; the prices beat the stores on the beach. Good, healthy, local food and products, melons and peaches, fresh orange and apple juices and don't miss the frozen yogurt. Yum.

We always stop at Grandy's on the way down and it never seems to disappoint... the tomatoes were outstanding and we bought so much they threw in a "bruised" tomato on the house... it may have been slightly bruised, but man that was the biggest tomato I have seen in years - one slice of that tomato hung way over the sides of a slice of white bread - very cool... we also like they summer tomato dressing and picked several bottles as well as peaches and corn... great place to stop...

Am a local from manteo on the outer banks have lived and worked for 30 years in the place I call home on my way to vabch for the 4th of july holiday I stopped to p/u fresh fruits and veggies for cookoutWas treated with open arms until my card was swiped and was told by cashier not once but twice my card wouldn't go thru.In total embarrassment with many customers listening I used another form of payment went to my car called my card co and was told my card was perfectly good and there were no signs of a transaction. I wanted the owner to know there was something wrong with his terminal and asked them to retry my card and was treated with the most disrespect by the owner I was in disbelief and still am to this day. I told him in my many years of service to customers I had never treated anyone the way he talked to me in my life.And i never intend on changing my ethics.I asked for 1lb of fudge @11.99 a lb Was given $30.00 worth of fudge I didn't complain the young non american girl could not understand me or english well so I overlooked it . Despite my upset with the owner. I apologized to him . You may wonder thru all this did the owner ever say im sorry ive had a long day ive had a bad day im sorry I had a problem with my machine lets make you my customer happy . Had many choices on the way, for some reason we just picked Grandy - Very welcoming, I guess.The folks there are friendly, lots of fresh veggies, baked goods, etc. Bought a few gifts, some fudge and the most delicious cinnamon buns i have ever had - Opened for breakfast the next morning, out of this world, fresh and so tasty. Wanted to stop by on the way home and just ran into some bad weather and out of time. Keep those buns warm, I assure you we will be back.

Spent a week house sitting for my children, so spent almost every day at Grandy Greenhouse Farm Market. Fruits, veggies, baked goods = all luscious. One small complaint, as a solo shopper, their baked goods and melons could be sold in limited smaller portions.

Best selection of fruits and veggies, but the bake goods are to die for! The strawberries and tomatoes tasted fresh picked and so much better than the grocery store. The homemade breads and cookies are delicious. I also bought the strawberry jam and several types of homemade jarred pickles - always delicious. My advice, stop on your way to the OBX and enjoy while at the beach. Stop by on your way out of the beach for a taste of the OBX at home.

A bit of a drive from Nags Head but its all well worth it. Can't beat the price and quality of fresh fruits and vegetables (skip food lion) and fresh bake pies and cakes. I made the trip twice from nags head to grandy while on vaca for my husbands bday. Chocolate cake and peach pies are a must. Oh and stop by their gift shop. Nice ppls

Great fresh fruit and vegetables, baked goods, and the pickled garlic cloves are a must, although the spicy variety we usually get there were nowhere to be seen this trip. Ice available on premises if you're a long way from home so stock up even on their refrigerated goods.

A primo farmers market, peaches fresh, in bread, salad dressing and smoothies. Lots of gifts, cookbooks, jellies and the like. The peaches just drip down your arm when you bite into them, the flesh is firm and the flavor is great!

On our way to the Outer Banks we stopped at this farm stand to pick up some fruits & vegetables. On the advice of some of the locals, we bought a bag of peaches. They were so juicy and flavorful that on our way back north we picked up a bag to bring home. They also had wonderful scones, jams and other products and really good peach ice cream. You will go past a couple of other farms stands before you get to this one, wait until you get here. It was the best. I won't to the Outer Banks again without stopping
