I recently took a fantastic tour of Jordan Lake! David, the guide was very friendly and knew a lot of the history of the lake and the wildlife.Jordan Lake is beautiful in the fall with the leaves on the trees various shades of color. Jordan Lake is fairly close to Raleigh yet, seems so far away from the hustle and bustle and it was very relaxing to spend a few hours on the water taking in the beauty and wildlife. The pontoon is very clean and easy to board as you just walk on. There are complimentary snacks and beverages available if you choose.I loved the diver ducks that could hold their breath and get away from predators. We also saw bald eagles, herons, osprey, cormorants, among others. It was a very relaxing and peaceful time of the lake.If you are looking for something unique to do and take in nature, this is a fun way to spend a few hours!

David took us out on his pontoon boat for a 2 hour tour of the southern part of Jordan Lake. He did a wonderful job explaining the history and formation of the lake as well as pointing out the wildlife as we went along. I particularly liked seeing and hearing about the bald eagles that make their home on the lake. The boat is shaded, and drinks (water and soda) and chips were provided. This tour thoroughly exceeded our expectations.
