sanford municipal golf course

We started our round here yesterday. The tee boxes and greens "overlap" like in many municipal courses. The group of retired regulars behind us were loud and they insisted on crowding us. There is no loss of rate of play if they would simply have hung back for us to get off the tee. They didn't of course. We played thru 3 holes and then went to clubhouse to request a refund. They told us "no refunds only rain checks". We walked without a rain check. The greens are postage stamps, which does make it challenging. But this financially economical course was one of the worst golf experiences I've had in a while. Skip it and go elsewhere where you can actually enjoy the game and your time outside.

We played here on July 4th. The course is not real long but the greens are very nice. They roll true and hold your shots well. The fairways were a bit dry, there are quite a few doglegs, and all in all we had a good time playing it. It is not that expensive.
