We went on a whim as our family lives about an hour away. The snow is blown in and it was nice. The skating rink is small but it wasn't that busy. The tubing was busy. It took about 15 minutes waiting in line to go to the top. The staff was friendly and the facility was nice. We didn't go up to the cafe, but there was one available if you get hungry.

We go once every year. Consistent. Like that there is a web can on website so you can see how many runs are open before going. Has small kiddie hill if not 42inches tall. You pay for 2 hours on hill. Has people mover to get you to top.

Thank you for visiting the Scaly Mountain Outdoor Center. Unfortunately, the unseasonably warm and rainy December melted most of our snow and completely melted our kiddie hill. We have had some colder weather since your visit and were able to make a lot of snow. We now have 3 tubing lanes and a very large kiddie hill. We hope you try us again in the future. You can always watch our live streaming webcam at our website or call us to find out what the conditions are prior to your visit. Thanks again for coming and we hope you try us again.

We took 4 teenagers. They had a ball. The guy at the top let them come down 4 together. They are still talking about it. Just to let you know they wet something that the tube slides on. There is very little water. The kids got a little damp, but they don't get soaked. It was warm while we were there, but it could have been cooler with bothering us. They have a moving sidewalk kind of thing. You can ride plenty in an hour without being completely worn out. They have a restaurant that had good food if someone wants a snack.

Today we went for an hour of turf tubing and the kids loved it! We have tubed many times here in the winter but this is our first without snow! Awesome! Thank to Scaly Mountain Outdoor Center for a great day of fun!

We went tubing on the mountain today and had a blast! I had seen the webcam showing the tubing but it was even more fun than it looked. It was a great activity for teens and adults. Will definitely go again when we are in the area.
