This brewery is obviously into their beer. I was excited to see a new brewery since the last time I visited Greensboro so thought I'd stop in and check it out. They had five of their own beers on tap and I got a sampler of them. Every single beer was done to style but I think the standout is their ESB. The pale ale was also delicious - not quite an India Pale Ale but with the aroma of one.The taproom was clean and warm on a cold, snowy day. The bartender was friendly and offered good suggestions. They don't serve food but ave local packaged goods available and a binder of menus for places that will deliver. It's also a short walk to the Mellow Mushroom.

We're very sorry you had a bad experience at Gibb's. A scheduling problem left us short-handed that day. We've since added additional staff to try to serve you better. We hope you'll give us another shot some day!

ESB is fantastic but $5 a beer is a little steep. We love that the bar has no TVs but tons of games. Food trucks are often there as a plus. Can't wait for the summer!

I'm local, and I've been coming here since they opened about three months ago. Their beers (currently three) are all really good: a Greensboro Pale Ale, an ESB and a milk stout. Frequently rotating guest taps are also a great sampling of the local breweries. A sampling flight is available for the three Gibb's brews, and you can get 32/64oz growlers of these to go at a reasonable price. No liquor/mixed drinks, but during winter mulled wine has been available, and I believe there is some selection of wines normally available. The above is grounds for making the place simply good enough to visit if you have the time. The following are some unique features that set this brewery apart from other nearby breweries and bars:- They don't serve food, but they encourage you to bring in your own. Not so special, but they do offer the nice feature of providing menus of local places that deliver. Some gourmet-ish peanuts and popcorn snacks are also available for purchase at the bar.- Well-behaved dogs a not only allowed but encouraged. The result is an occasional bark, but humans and furry folks seem to coexist in perfect harmony.- For the DD or non-drinker, they offer a sampling of local sodas in glass bottles. I have a hard time not drinking the beer, but it's a nice touch to offer something besides water for those that don't wish to imbibe.- There's a shelf full of board games for the taking. Personally I hate board games, but this was one of my wife's reasons for wanting to go here. - Many days of the week have regularly scheduled events: Wednesday is now trivia night, every other Thursday (I believe) has the Piedmont Old Time Society performing music... it's like a legitimate Irish pub session with a bunch of stringed instruments producing some very nice background music. Food trucks also regularly show up outside.Basically, this is the local bar (that makes their own beer) that I feel Greensboro has been lacking. You don't come here to get trashed. You come here to enjoy a few good drinks. With dogs and children welcome during appropriate times, I don't think there is another place in town quite like this. Looking forward to the first 100 days celebration this weekend!

The atmosphere is nice, large space for a big party. The staff is very friendly. The Milk Stout and Dry hopped pale ale are incredibly delicious.

Gibbs Hundred is a new microbrewery in Greensboro. Gibb's offers their own beer and guest taps. I tried the their ESB and Blind Man's Holiday GPA, Pale Ale, and the latter was my favorite. They are located off the main road behind Table 16 restaurant and near the Mellow Mushroom. Gibbs Hundred does not offer food but they do have a snack menu and food trucks outside. The atmosphere is relaxed keeping the features of the old down town business/warehouse look. They refinished the wide plank hardwood floors, kept the brick facade, and the metal doors that slide on tracks. There is an outside deck but it was too cold to sit out there on our visit. The city has an Ice Skating rink set up just outside the brewery. The staff is great and friendly. Gibbs is a definite long overdo addition to Greensboro and if you live near or visiting, like beer of course, you should stop in for one. I'll be back often.
