This is a great park that is growing from so many people. The hiking trails are great. Many to choose from. The thing I dislike is having to share the trail with all the bikers. There is another park named Lake Higgins that has dedicated trails for bikers right next to this park. Lake Brandt is a great place to take the family or a date to enjoy the great outdoors.

This is a great park to stop at when you bike the yadkin trail greenway. There is a museum and a lot of park space. Also, Red Dog Farm is located nearby to get a rescue pet!!!!

Beautiful park in North Greensboro with a little something for everyone. Biking trails, hiking trails, golf, tennis, pool, fishing pond, shelters, open space...smallish park with a lot to offer.

Burmil Park occupies several hundred acres on the banks of Lake Brandt. There are 2-3 miles of walking trails on the property. More importantly, it is located on the greenway and near the trailhead for 4.3 mile Owl's Roost Trail (one of the best trail bike/walking trails in the U.S). From Burmil, you can also access about 40 miles of lakeside and woods trails in the area, including the 8.2 mile trail around Lake Brandt (3-4 hours). The trails have a very rustic/mountain feel; I have walked them dozens of time and each is a new experience. Google "Greensboro Hiking Trails" for a map and brochure. There are fishing ponds, a fishing pier in Lake Brandt, and a par 3 golf course. There are tennis courts and a nice swimming pool. Don't forget the numerous picnic shelters (free if not reserved), or just throw down a blanket and chill. The Wildlife Center building, with snakes, turtles, etc., is a treat for the young ones. Greenway great for biking too. Nearby (2 miles) is Guilford Battleground National Park, a scenic several hundred acres preserving the site of this important 1781 Revolutionary War battle. It has a nice visitor's center and book store, and informative film about the battle. (Best book: Buchanan's Road to Guilford Courthouse). Next to this park is the new Greensboro Sciquarium, with its new world class aquarium, located next to Country Park. Burmil Park, and nearby attractions, can keep the entire family informed and entertained for days. Good selection of restaurants on nearby Battleground Avenue; Burmil offers mainly just snacks.

I love the layout of this park. The swimming pool is just right for children under 12, the bike trails are both through the woods and through nice neighborhoods, fishing is available, grilling out is available and there are many grills available so you are not waiting or fighting over a grill. The only dislike I have is they no longer rent bicycles....pewey

My first visit to BurMil Park was so nice and relaxing. We had a baby in a stroller and the paved trails made it easy for both the baby and the adults to enjoy. A LOT of shade on the trails that we went on, which will be nice for the hot summer. To be able to see the pond is nice and there are multiple sites that are covered with tables for an outing. Do not miss the exhibit there...lots of animals to see...some alive, but most are not, but very well done. A fantastic find for anyone who enjoys the outdoors!

This could really be a nice par 3, but it is terrible!! The greens are in poor condition. I know it is still winter, but even in the spring or summer the greens are terrible. The city could do a better job of keeping this course decent to play.

We particularly like the hiking trails around Lake Brandt, varying in length from a mile or so to several miles. The golf driving range and course are very popular and well kept up, as is the swimming pool in the summer. There is no admission fee, although some activities have small fees.

I visited for the first time since they've built the new park this summer and it is great! All of my children had a great time and made some new friends I really enjoyed it because I have small children that I am very protective over and they were easy to spot everytime even if i wasnt right by their side. Also the staff really looks out for the kids from what I seen.We went during the week so it was too crowded(hint)

Great place for a family outing, company event, or anything where you want to get together outdoors. Another great Greensboro park along the Atlantic & Yadkin Greenway. There are multiple bike trails around and connecting to the park/

This park is always bustling with folks. Bike paths are always clean and safe and lots of grassy areas to picnic or play catch. I have been meaning to try out their driving range and 3-par course because it looks well-kept and fun! Plenty of room for other activities for all ages too. It's a bit a drive from downtown Greensboro if there's traffic but we usually make a day of it and spend many hours there.

Being a local, I enjoy the proximity of the park, and that it links up with other parks via the greenway. Parking may be an issue, but not terrible. Lots of shade along the asphalt trails as well as the groomed forest trails.

They have picnic areas and trails and playgrounds and a water attraction. The thing that usually draws me out is the driving range and the par 3 course. A quick 9 holes and I've satisfied my addiction for a few days.

Parking is not the best and you will hear traffic from Wendover, but it is a pretty park and a nice walk along a creek on a paved walk across bridges with various plants and trees along the way.
