Went to see Trailer Trash Christmas what a pleasant surprise here I loved every minute of this play. Awesome little theater and the cast was wonderful. I've never been to a play like it but will be back. They even passed out snacks through out the play it was part of it. Awesome job people.

Forget the high budget plays you can see at fancier places, this is a nice, independent theater in Durham, providing solid entertainment, as well as pieces to provoke a bit of thought. The outside is kinda like a barn behind an old house, but inside is not unlike a small indie theater in NYC. Definitely worth a visit.

A good place to come see local theatre from professionals. It's not a community theatre venue, and many different companies perform here. There's almost always a show occurring, but definitely check the website before going to a show.

We saw many plays at Common Ground Theater while we lived in the area. If you'd like to enjoy casual, creative, sometimes interactive, theater by local actors who love what they do and are talented and professional, you should check it out. They even serve beer.

I've been to Common Ground a lot over the past few years and it's a great community resource that deserves more respect and attention. At least two really fine improv groups--Transactors and Fatmouth--perform there regularly, and draw good crowds with their fun & fast paced performances. Small theater troupes also use the space, and other performers too. The ticket prices are fair, the seating is comfortable (there's a whole pile of seat cushions to add to your seat if you want), they offer snacks & drinks at intermission, and best of all you're supporting local performers in a local place. Plenty of parking and easy handicapped access. If you're not familiar with the area, it's a little hard to find. They could use a bigger or brighter sign but there may be zoning ordinances which prevent this amenity. Other than that it's a great place! Definitely go if you can.
